The Dance Co. also offers individual classes for students who would benefit from one-on one instruction for certain dance steps or for those students who are behind due to an absence.

Acro-Dance technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength. Dancers who train through Acrobatic Arts have balanced development, are stronger, more flexible and fearless. Dancers will have more skills, have fewer accidents, and are less likely to develop chronic injuries.

This is a signature Dance Co. class! We have been offering hip hop classes since 1993, and we keep up with the trends! Cool street moves and choreography performed to the latest urban and hip-hop music. Lots of energy required! Students will perform one dance in annual recital.

Students work on balance and extensions while dancing in an expressive, modern style. Students in lyrical are required to take ballet. Lyrical students will perform one dance in the annual recital.

Tap skills are stressed such as clarity of sound and the speed at which the steps are performed. Tap students will perform one dance in the annual recital. Ballet is required to take any tap class.

Emphasis is on learning more difficult combinations while working on showmanship and becoming a more stylized dancer. Correct technique is stressed while performing more difficult choreography. Jazz dancers will perform one dance in our annual recital. Ballet is required to take any jazz class.

Ballet is the foundation of all dance subjects. With the exception of Hip Hop and Poms, Ballet is required to take all other classes. Students need the basics learned in ballet to polish and perfect a higher degree of dancing skills. Ballet students will perform one dance in our annual recital.

Combination classes are continuing Ballet and Tap. Students in combination classes may take an optional jazz class. The emphasis is on more technical studies as they develop further poise, balance and coordination. Students will do two dances in our annual recital.

An age specific 45 minute class containing ballet, tap and jazz/creative movement. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies.

Get ready to get moving! We will work on balance, coordination, and mind-body connection using props and fun activities! This class is for kids who love to move to music! This is not a ballet / tap combination class. Dance shoes and dancewear not required! Student may wear comfortable clothes that they can move around in.

This 45 minute class contains ballet, tap and jazz/creative movement. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. For example, all dancers will learn what a "plie" is and how to demonstrate one. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers' minds and bodies. The use of props like hoola hoops and their favorite stuffies makes class so much fun! Class is scheduled for 8 weeks for flexibility--you choose 6 to attend.

This curriculum focuses on physical literacy. You can expect to find skills like: Pike Position, Skipping, Marching, Pre Cartwheel, Plié, Tendu, etc. The focus of this program includes learning the acro positions, locomotive skills (jumping, hopping, etc), balance skills, classroom behaviour skills, movement concepts, cooperation and social skills. The magic is in the repetition, the report cards, coloring pages, imaginary play, fun and games. Great class for children who have never attended a dance class before. Class is scheduled for 8 weeks for flexibility--you choose 6 to attend.
