Premier Dance Center, located in Ottumwa, Iowa, is dedicated to providing comprehensive dance education and fostering a profound love for dance as a performance art. With a highly experienced and passionate staff, the studio offers a diverse range of styles designed to equip students with the skills to excel both in auditions and on stage. Director and Owner April Anderson brings over 40 years of dance experience, specializing in jazz, contemporary, and acrobatics since 2002. Lyn Heaton, also a Director and Owner, contributes over 40 years of expertise in ballet and pointe since 2004. Julie Park, another Director and Owner, has been teaching tap, ballet, pointe, and jazz since 2006, drawing on over 40 years of experience. Zana Lippincott leads the Hip Hop instruction with over 20 years of experience, while Bridget Short, with 30 years of experience, teaches pointe and hip hop. Emily Park further enriches the teaching staff with her extensive background. Premier Dance Center offers specialized classes in Acrobatics, Contemporary, and Musical Theater, alongside foundational styles. The studio emphasizes dance etiquette and proper studio behavior, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience. Students gain performance opportunities throughout the vibrant dance season, culminating in an annual recital.
