The School of Classical Ballet & Dance, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, is a premier dance studio offering a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults. Our mission is to foster a love for movement, technical excellence, and artistic expression within a nurturing environment. While deeply rooted in classical ballet, we offer a diverse curriculum encompassing Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Tap. Under the guidance of dedicated instructors including Eleanor Albaugh, Lori, Holly McFarland, and Hannah Hanson, students receive high-quality instruction focused on technique and artistry. Our esteemed faculty also includes Cee Cee Garton, with owners and directors Lori Grooters and Serkan Hasanusta at the helm, committed to inspiring a lifelong passion for the performing arts. We provide enriching opportunities beyond the academic year, such as summer intensives and camps. The Summer Intensive - Advanced program features guest instructors like Devin Tokarski for Contemporary/Jazz and Dawn Haase-Grooters for Yoga, designed for dancers seeking to refine their skills. Our Dance Camps for younger dancers integrate Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap with creative craft activities. We are currently focused on registration for the upcoming Fall 2025 season and the 2025/26 academic year, with a clear emphasis on classical ballet technique and performance opportunities.
