SS&C (Stretching, Strengthening and Conditioning)

Age 14 and up.

Stretching, Strengthening and Conditioning, this is where dancers learn the proper ways to stretch and strengthen their bodies for the movements dance requires.

Ages 8 and over. In this class we work on Intermediate to advanced acro skills varying from balance skills, walkovers and aerial work.

Ages approximately 5- 9. In this class we cover handstands, forward and backward rolls, back bends, cartwheels and other beginner to intermediate acro work and exercises that support the strength and flexibility needed to perform these skills.

Ages 12 and over. Pointe work is for those that have been invited by teachers.

Ages 11-up. Advanced class with emphasis on performance.

Ages 9 and up. Intermediate with 4-6 years prior training. Three classes/week required.

Ages 7-10. Intermediate Tap technique with 3-4 years prior training. Two classes/week required.

Ages 5-9. Basic Tap technique with 2-3 years prior training. Two classes/week recommended.

Ages 5-9. Basic Tap technique with 2-3 years prior training. Two classes/week recommended.

Ages 11-up. Advanced class with emphasis on performance. We will touch on different styles of jazz including Lyrical, modern, contemporary and Musical Theatre. Three classes/week required.Four classes/week recommended.

Ages 8- 13. We will focus on several pre-pointe exercises, strengthening muscles around the ankle, releve height, stretching the feet for a better point and balancing. Emphasis on pointe preparation. Three classes/week required.

Ages 11-up. Advanced class with emphasis on performance. Three classes/week required.Four classes/week recommended.

Ages 8 and up. Intermediate with 4-6 years prior training. Three classes/week required.

Ages 5-9. Basic ballet technique with 2-3 years prior training. Two classes/week recommended.

Ages 6-8. Basic ballet technique with little or no prior training.

Ages 6-8. Intermediate ballet and tap.

Ages 4-5. Basic ballet and tap steps and creative movement. One year in Preballet required if 4, or age 5 for beginners.

Ages 3-4. No previous training. Emphasis is on creative movement and beginning the fundamentals of Ballet and Tap.

Ages 18 months- 3. No previous training. Emphasis is on creative movement, learning to follow directions and how to thrive in a structured environment. Creative Movement is an exciting experience which develops a love for music and dance. We engage the child's imagination by giving them familiar mental pictures, such as puppies in a pet store or cowboys on a horse, to focus on. They then act and dance to music to convey the concept. Creative dance is integrated in all the classes, with special emphasis on the younger student classes.

Ballet/Tap Combo for 3-4 year olds and new preschool age children - This class requires both ballet & tap shoes.

Ballet/Tap Combo for PreK & Kindergarten – This class requires both ballet & tap shoes.

Creative Movement for 18 months to 2-1/2 year olds - an adult may participate with the dancer for the first few weeks until the dancer is comfortable in the class room.

Creative Movement with adult - 18 months to 2-1/2 year olds with a participating parent or adult.

Hip Hop Adv/Inter Adv: (Ages 10-18) Clean “indoor only” tennis shoes or other dance shoes are required.

Inter: (Ages 7-12) Clean “indoor only” tennis shoes or other dance shoes are required.

Jazz Movement - 7 years-up This class requires jazz or ballet shoes.

Beginner: (Ages 4-8) Clean “indoor only” tennis shoes or other dance shoes are required.

Intermediate Acro for dancers 5 years-up – This class will focus on acro movement used in dance on an individual basis.

Beginning Acro for beginner dancers 3-5 years – This class will focus on acro movement used in dance on an individual basis.

Ballet/Tap Combo for 6-11 year old beginning dancers – This class requires both ballet & tap shoes.

Ballet - 7 years-up - This class requires ballet shoes.

Tap - 7 years-up - This class requires tap shoes.

This camp is for dancers ages 5-10 with previous experience and especially those interested in joining our competitive company. We will take a short break, so dancers should bring a snack and drink.

These camps are open to all our recreational level students as well as any outside student 5 and older who would like to learn the basics of acro. This is not a gymnastics class! We work on acro movements that are used in dance on an individual basis.

Join us for fun and energetic theme based ninja tumbling classes where we will explore the imagination. During this class, we will learn tumbling and acrobatic skills all while soaring through obstacle courses, working on strength and building teamwork.
