Classes

Acrobatics

Any color leotard, dance shorts can be worn, tan footless or tan stirrup tights, and barefoot. Hair should be worn up off face, in a bun if possible. Please no baggy clothing, it makes it difficult for spotting dancers.

Tap

Solid color Leotards, tan tights, dance shorts or dance leggings can be worn. Tap shoes must be worn.

Jazz

Girls wear any color leotard, tan tights, dance pants or dance shorts may be worn. Tan jazz shoes. Half soles can be worn. Please plan for tan jazz shoes for recital. Boys may wear tee shirt and shorts or jazz pants or sweats. Boys wear tan or black jazz shoes. Dancers hair should be worn up off of their face.

Ballet

Girls wear solid color leotard. Dance Skirts and fitted shorts can be worn. No baggy clothing. No tee shirts. Dance sweaters can be worn. Pink ballet slippers, pink ballet tights, hair in a bun. If hair is too short, please wear pulled back and secure. Boys wear a white tee shirt and black shorts or dance pants and black ballet slippers.

Creative Dance

Ages 5 -7. Girls wear any color leotard and tights. Pink ballet slippers for girls. Boys can wear tee shirt and shorts with bare feet or black ballet slippers.

Tot Dance

Ages 2 - 4. Shorts or sweats and tee shirt for boys. Girls wear leotard and can wear shorts. Tights are not needed but can be worn. Dancers go barefoot. If dancers choose to wear tights, then ballet slippers will be needed.

Dance Company

Dancers and previous members go through a yearly audition process to become a Dance Company member. Dancers are required to attend weekly technique classes, and weekly company rehearsal. Dance Company members attend competitions for performance, experience, and fun.

Acrobatic Dance

An “Acrobat” is a person who performs feats of strength, flexibility, balance and agility with their entire body in many different forms. In class, dancers work on stretch, flexibility, balance, muscle control, strength, concentration, discipline, and basic tumbling.

Hip Hop

Originating in the South Bronx in the late 1970s. Hip hop went global by the end of the 80's. According to one explanation, the term pairs the hip that means "trendy" or "fashionable" with the leaping movement hop.

Jazz

Jazz dance showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality. Jazz dance is fun and energetic. The style consists of leaps, turns, kicks, along with strength and flexibility.

Pointe

To balance and dance on the tips of a few toes. Dancing on Pointe requires a ballet dancer to wear specially designed shoes called Pointe shoes. Starting Pointe work is a special milestone in a ballerina’s life.

Ballet

Consists of Elementary exercises for the mastery of the basic stance of the body and positions of the feet, arms, and head, used in classical dance. The development of elementary habits of movement co-ordination. In Intermediate and Advanced levels Emphasis is on balance, control, placement and correct posture.

Creative Dance

Creative movement, imagination, and fine motor skills & basic tumbling. Emphasis is on learning how to work as a class, and have fun learning basic dance steps and fine motor skills. Suitable for ages 5 - 7.

Tot Dance

Tumbling and creative movement for the young dancer. This class is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years old, introducing them to foundational dance concepts through playful activities and basic tumbling.
