Mindy's Jessamine School of Classical Dance, located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, has been a cornerstone of quality dance education since 1993. Led by Artistic Director Mindy Taylor Jackson, a former soloist for The Lexington Ballet, the studio offers a rich tradition of classical dance training, with Mindy herself teaching core classes and drawing on over three decades of her extensive experience. The school is dedicated to providing professional training and performance opportunities in a non-competitive, encouraging environment, fostering self-esteem, fitness, confidence, and a strong sense of community for dancers of all abilities and backgrounds. Mindy's JSCD boasts a diverse curriculum that builds upon a strong ballet foundation. Students can explore a variety of styles including hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and tap, with classes available for ages three and up. The faculty includes esteemed instructors like Alisha Courtney, a former student and current instructor, who brings her expertise to Hip Hop and Contemporary choreography, and Brooke Bailey, an alumna specializing in joyful classes for young children and Zumba. The studio provides invaluable performance experience through two annual shows: the highly anticipated Nutcracker and Holiday Review, and the vibrant Annual Spring Recital.
