Advanced Tumble

Students enrolling in Advanced Tumble should have mastered fundamental tumbling skills and be ready to take their abilities to the next level. In this class, students will work on advanced skills such as handsprings, side and front aerials, connected series, tucks, and more. Our focus is on perfecting technique, building strength, and achieving fluidity in complex tumbling sequences.

Tumble Progressions

Tumble Progressions is for students who have mastered the basics and are ready to progress to the next level.  They'll enjoy conditioning, stretching, and core strengthening, while refining those basic skills like handstands, cartwheels, roundoffs, and kickovers. Students will work on connecting individual moves, adding dance elements, and creating fluid sequences as well as be introduced to more advanced moves including handspring and aerial drills and more!

Tumble Foundation

In this exciting class, students will master fundamental movements like handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, and other essential skills. They'll balance on low beams, walk like animals with bear crawls and crab walks, jump with joy, and be introduced to the excitement of handstands, bridges, and cartwheels. Plus, they'll navigate thrilling obstacle courses that make learning a blast!

Tiny Tumble

Where Fun and Fundamentals Begin! Tiny Tumble is perfect for our youngest tumblers, offering an exciting introduction to basic tumbling skills. ACRO

Acro dance combines dance technique with fluid acrobatic movements. Unlike the faster and stronger routines of gymnastics, acro dance is meant to enhance the art form of dance and provide the dancers with  greater means of self-expression through smooth, graceful transitions.

TAP

Students will learn technique, clarity of sounds, tempo, combinations and the basic moves of tap such as standard time steps, shuffles, flaps, etc. This class offers students the opportunity to focus on their coordination and musical awareness. A mix of music styles such as Broadway show tunes or pop may be used. Classes include warm-up, progressions, and combinations.

"POP HOP"

This class if for those high energy little ones that are always ready to show off their dance moves to their favorite pop tunes. It combines the basics of hip hop to age appropriate music combined with fun jazz moves!

HIP HOP

Fun and energetic! This class focuses on age appropriate hip hop dancing and music that students will love. They will not only learn high energy hip hop choreography but also rhythm, coordination, isolations and breakdancing! Students will be introduced to many different styles of hip hop enforcing well-rounded hip hop dancers.

TAP

MUSICAL THEATER

Our Musical Theater classes incorporate dance (jazz & tap), acting and the use of props to help make a well rounded performer. This class is a wonderful learning and confidence building experience and is a great class for students who are looking to acquire the elements needed to perform roles in their schools and community theatre productions.

IMPROVISATION & COMPOSITION

Guided by an instructor, dancers will be given prompts and cues to inspire their improvisational skills. They are encouraged to let go of any preconceived notions of dance and to simply move freely in the space. Students are taught to listen to their bodies, embrace mistakes, and find new and unique ways to express themselves through movement. In addition to improvisation, students also learn the principles of composition. They are guided through different techniques for creating structured dance pieces, including exploring concepts such as rhythm, dynamics, space, and form. Students are encouraged to experiment with different ways of organizing movements and to collaborate with their classmates in creating group compositions.

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY

This class explores body and spacial awareness, movement, rhythm, and improvisation. Lyrical dance combines the grace of ballet with the stylization of jazz to create a form of dance that allows students to express emotion through movement. With the foundation of this style being ballet and jazz, it is encouraged that dancers are also enrolled in those classes.

JAZZ/TECHNIQUE

Jazz dance incorporates ballet principles with modern, stylized movement. This class focuses on stretching, across the floor progressions, center work, leaps and turns, and more. In all exercises, students develop muscle strength, flexibility, and further their jazz technique. Jazz & Technique are complementary classes intended to be taken together. Students will perform a jazz dance in the annual show.

POINTE

The time a ballet student advances to Pointe is determined by the Instructor and is based on a student's individual strength and ability. Students must take a minimum of three years of ballet training to be considered for Pointe and an assessment will be made by the instructor.

BALLET

As the foundation of all dances, ballet is fundamental to the education of any dancer. While learning technique, students build proper posture and carriage, develop grace and control and gain self-confidence and personal discipline. Ballet classes improve a student's ability and performance in all other forms of dance. The class concentrates on terminology & technique. The intermediate and advanced levels are encouraged to take more than one class per week.

KINDERCOMBO

In this combo dance class students are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet, tap, and jazz. The class is structured to incorporate elements of each dance style in a fun and engaging way.

The introductory dance class is a fun and engaging way for young kids to explore the world of movement and music. Held in a bright and colorful dance studio, this lively and interactive class introduces them to the joy of dance and helps them develop important physical and cognitive skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
