The Recreational Dance Program offers dancers ages 7 and up the ability to train in a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop with a schedule that offers flexibility for students who wish to attend as few as one class per week.

Our Introductory Dance Program offers ballet, hip hop, jazz, and tap classes for children ages 3-7 years old. Our Grown-Up & Me class program serves ages 2+ with a caregiver.
Modern
The modern classes consist of studies to stretch and strengthen different areas of the body. Modern dance movements are considered freeform and fluid and are often inspired by other dance styles. Modern is offered to students who have previous dance training in ballet and jazz.

Tap classes are primarily held at our Clarksburg Studios.
Hip Hop
The Hip hop class is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Hip Hop is a movement that represents the freedom to learn, grow, and evolve.
Jazz
The jazz class focuses on learning proper dance techniques such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, Funk, and Tap to help develop a well-rounded dancer.

Modern 5
Students will learn modern dance techniques and be exposed to a variety of movement styles. They will be introduced to Limon, Horton, and Graham dance techniques. Each level emphasizes body alignment, flexibility, and strength, as well as improving aerobic endurance. Students are encouraged to perform with aesthetic maturity as their movement vocabulary develops. The vocabulary includes floor work, standing warm-up, floor progression, jumps, turns, transitional movements, and leaps.
Jazz/Contemporary
Jazz/Contemporary
Jazz/Contemporary classes are offered for students aged 9 and up, blending elements of jazz and contemporary dance styles. These classes are part of the Recreational Dance Program and can be registered for a semester or the full year.
Early Ballet 1/2
An extension of the Creative Movement Program, MBT’s Early Ballet Program continues building fundamentals of ballet technique and vocabulary in a fun way. This program begins the transition from gross to fine motor skills. While most of the class is conducted in center exercises, limited barre work begins in Early Ballet 2.
Hip Hop 1
Hip Hop 1 is an introductory hip hop class for dancers aged 7 and up. This class is part of the Recreational Dance Program and does not require faculty placement. Registration is available for a semester or the full year.
