Tap
Tap dance focuses on rhythms of the feet and helps develop coordination, balance and musicality. MMPAC’s tap instruction includes rhythm, Broadway and classical styles of tap.
Hip Hop & Jazz Funk
Hip hop is derived from African and Jazz dance forms. Isolations, improvisation and freedom of movement are main focuses. Styles include popping, locking, breaking, and tutting.
Modern
Modern dance explores movement in its entirety and goes beyond the boundaries of other techniques. Elements explored are: level, speed, direction, energy, focus, space as students push the envelope of this expressive dance form.
Lyrical & Contemporary
Characterized by its fluidity, lyrical combines elements of ballet, jazz and modern dance. Choreographed to inspirational music, lyrical dance gives students an opportunity to interpret a wide range of expressions and emotions. Contemporary adds powerful, symbolic modern movement to the flow of lyrical.
Jazz
An energetic & fast paced dance form, jazz is both transitional and traditional. Varied styles of movement are explored with attention to body isolations & dynamics. Our curriculum ranges from classical jazz, theater dance from NYC, LA stylized jazz, hip hop and lyrical.
Ballet
Ballet’s strong technical basis is the foundation of all dance, and is central to a student’s study of any movement style. Our students are introduced to many different techniques including the Vaganova Method, Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Contemporary Ballet forms.
Combo
Combo 103 is a beginner ballet and tap class. Combo 104 expands upon ballet and tap concepts from Combo 103. Dancers in this level are also introduced to jazz and modern.
PreDance
This class introduces young children to a variety of dance fundamentals. Ballet basics and introductory modern concepts are developed through creative movement. Introductory tap is also included in PreDance 103.
D3 – DANCE DANCE DANCE
A dance intensive geared toward 12 – 18 year olds working at an Intermediate/Advanced level. Classes in various dance genres (ex. hip hop, jazz, ballet, modern, tap, theater dance & lyrical) are held daily. Each day students will have afternoon rehearsals and choreography. The intensive includes a showcase at the conclusion.

Summer Camps and Intensives
Showtime!
Dancers aged 6-10 will enjoy this week of dance filled with variety. It is a wonderful way for younger dancers to explore the different genres of dance. Each day will cover a different style and the week will culminate into a short showcase for the parents. Genres included are ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap and tumbling. Snack is provided and dancers will have craft time for costuming and props.
F.I.T. – FOCUS INSPIRE TRAIN
A dance intensive geared toward 9-18 year olds. Two technique classes in various dance genres are taught each day. Students will also participate in rehearsals for a performance piece. This camp is required for all FX dancers. This camp is also a fantastic opportunity for dancers to re-align and re-strengthen their technique before the new season begins.
Dancin’ TIME!
Dancers aged 6-10 will enjoy this week of dance filled with variety. It is a wonderful way for younger dancers to explore the different genres of dance. Each day will cover a different style and the week will culminate into a short showcase for the parents. Genres included are ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap and tumbling. Snack is provided and dancers will have craft time for costuming and props.
Princess Pop
This fun camp is designed for 3-5 year olds. Days will be spent exploring beginning dance movement through magical stories of princesses. Students will work with ballet, creative movement and tumbling. Snack is provided and craft time is offered each day to enhance the story/theme of the day. Parents are invited to watch a small presentation at the end of the week.
Jungle Jam!
This fun camp is designed for 3-5 year olds. Days will be spent exploring beginning dance movement through adventures in the jungle. Students will work with ballet, creative movement and tumbling. Snack is provided and craft time is offered each day to enhance the story/theme of the day. Parents are invited to watch a small presentation at the end of the week.
