Classes

Pilates

Karalina discovered Pilates as a competitive college athlete, using it for both rehabilitation and cross-training. Although her athletic career has since ended, her passion for Pilates has never faded. In 2014, she completed her 450-hour comprehensive certification at Pilates Core Training in Pensacola, FL, and has been teaching ever since. Karalina specializes in neuro-kinetic movement, helping clients develop a strong mind-body connection and a deeper understanding of proper body mechanics. While classically trained, her teaching style is progressive and dynamic—integrating weights and strength training techniques to create well-rounded sessions that reflect the latest science in human physiology. Her classes are known for being challenging yet supportive, leaving clients feeling stronger, more connected, and more in tune with their bodies. Outside the studio, Karalina is a busy mom of three, often found running after her children and dog or enjoying family time on the weekends.

Pilates Reformer

Janeen is stepping into her role as a Pilates Reformer instructor with fresh energy and a passion to help others feel their best–– all while having fun (she’s known for some killer playlists!). While she’s at the start of her instructor career, Janeen has been practicing Pilates for over six years and has a deep appreciation for the method that shines through in every class. She is certified across the full suite of Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Chair, Mat, Cadillac, etc). Janeen’s approach is encouraging, thoughtful, and full of feel-good vibes. HIGH Low™

HIGH Low™ is a low impact aerobics experience based on traditional aerobics principles creating a steady state cardio workout. This action packed, full body blast will challenge you all the while keeping it LOW. HIGH Low uses cardio and toning tracks choreographed with simple fitness moves that result in a high energy, fun and effective group fitness class that will keep you coming back for more! No equipment is needed for this class except a good pair of tennis shoes.

Kundalini Yoga

SPICE Kundalini yoga is a combination of specific kriyas and meditation aimed at raising the kundalini energy. The practice also helps prepare the practitioner physically and spiritually for the intensity of this energy. Each kundalini class begins with a chant and is followed by a warmup for the spine. The main part of the class is the kriyas, which combine postures and breathing techniques and end with a meditation and chant. Slow Flow Yoga

Our SPICE Slow Flow Yoga is similar to our Flow Yoga but moving from pose to pose at a gentler pace. Class focuses on alignment, strength, balance, flexibility, meditation, and breathwork. Slow Flow Yoga features numerous modifications and options to make the practice accessible for all levels. No socks required.

SPICE Yoga Sculpt

Elevate your yoga practice with Yoga Sculpt—a dynamic class that blends breathwork, flowing sequences, and light weights for an extra SPICE-y experience! This class adds strength-building elements to traditional yoga, creating a powerful and energizing workout. Designed for an intermediate level, but with plenty of options and modifications, you’ll challenge your body while staying connected to your breath. Expect to build endurance, improve flexibility, and leave feeling strong, balanced, and refreshed!

Stretch Recovery

Whether you are a super-active individual or desk sitting is your game or somewhere in-between, our SPICE Stretch Recovery class is exactly what you need. This class focuses on improving range of motion and flexibility, which can help reduce stiffness, tightness, and discomfort. We use a variety of equipment such as straps, yoga blocks, and foam rollers, and class may also include elements of self-myofascial release and breathwork. No socks required.

Flow Yoga

Our SPICE Flow Yoga is an energetic practice emphasizing the connection between breath and movement. Flow Yoga includes elements of strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, meditation, and breathwork. This class is suitable for all levels and experience. Appropriate modifications and use of props will be offered. No socks required.

Restorative/Yin Yoga

Our SPICE Restorative/Yin Yoga is a gentle practice that aims to bring relaxation and calm to both the body and mind. With the aid of props, such as yoga blocks, bolsters, and blankets, yoga poses (asanas) are held for a longer duration. This meditative blend of restorative and Yin yoga practices allows you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body. No socks required.

SPICE PILATES

Our Mat Pilates class is based on the important principles of Pilates while incorporating props such as magic circles, mini-bands, and mat work. Pilates is a precision-based group of exercises which first focus on the core (abdominal and back muscles) and then branch out to strengthen and tone the entire body. Grippy socks are required for this class.

SPICE Strength Balance Core

Our Strength, Balance, and Core classes offer 60 minutes of movement with a purpose. Our instructors incorporate functional movements that are relatable to everyday life creating stamina and longevity. Clients will experience a longer, dynamic warm up, followed by upper body endurance strength. The class then moves toward the barres to work on the lower body (legs and glutes) before coming back to the center of the room for stranding core work. Additional core work is done on the floor with mats. Throughout class, balance work is carefully weaved into the moves so clients can practice this important life skill. Class ends with a 10 minute stretch to focus on flexibility. Grip socks or clean athletic shoes are acceptable.

SPICE 360 – Power, Performance, Recovery

Are you feeling spicy? This 45-minute high-energy, total body workout incorporates elements of tabata, circuit training, and high-intensity interval training. This class is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, functional stability, and build muscle strength in a short amount of time while focusing on form and technique to avoid injuries. Each session will consist of a brief warm-up, followed by intense workouts that alternate between short periods of intense exercise and recovery periods. Modifications are always provided so this class is great for all fitness levels. Everybody’s body is different, so listen to yours, and you too can succeed in this class! Each class will end with an optional 10-15 minute cool down/stretch to reduce the risk of strains or injuries and to promote muscle recovery. The class will take place in the studio and, weather permitting, will occasionally move to outdoor locations around Leonardtown. HIIT classes can be a great way to challenge yourself and get a workout in a short amount of time. Wear sneakers, and comfortable/breathable clothing, and bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.

SPICE Strength, Balance, Core

Our Strength, Balance, and Core classes offer 60 minutes of movement with a purpose. Our instructors incorporate functional movements that are relatable to everyday life creating stamina and longevity. If you take our SBC class on Wednesdays, you will notice this class follows the Pumped Up Strength™ format. This is a new approach to resistance training. Utilizing combination movement patterns in a targeted, rhythmic progression, its superpower is the dynamic integration of upper and lower body movements set to fun music. On Thursdays, clients will experience a longer, dynamic warm up, followed by upper body endurance strength. The class then moves toward the barres to work on the lower body (legs and glutes) before coming back to the center of the room for stranding core work. Additional core work is done on the floor with mats. Throughout class, balance work is carefully weaved into the moves so clients can practice this important life skill. Class ends with a 10 minute stretch to focus on flexibility.

SPICE Strength, Cardio, Core

SPICE Strength, Cardio, Core (SPICE SCC), formerly known as SPICE HEAT., will involve a variety of equipment to improve cardiovascular health, gain muscular strength, and build a stronger core. You can look forward to a fun, creative, interval workout that is suitable for all fitness levels. With all classes, options can be made. A typical class will start with a warm up, followed by strength based exercises with bursts of cardio (low impact and high intensity options) weaved into the format. You will round out class with some core work followed by stretching and a moment to reflect on your hard work. Clean athletic shoes required. Be sure to properly hydrate and fuel your body before class. Equipment varies but you could expect to use things such as hand weights, TRX, BOSU, resistance bands, steps, glider discs, stability balls, etc.

SPICE Barre TRX

SPICE Barre TRX is uses all the moves you love in our SPICE Barre classes, but adds the TRX for more variety of moves that will challenge your balance and core. Options are given for all fitness levels. Grip socks required.

SPICE Barre Vibes

This class is a unique and balanced blend of pilates and barre. This class will start with all the best aspects of a barre class for 30 minutes and then moves to the mat for a 30 minute of Mat Pilates with emphasis on core strengthening. Grip socks required.

SPICE Barre Circuit

SPICE Barre Circuit is a blend of circuit training with barre exercises at the Barre, TRX, BOSU and light weights. You will experience a full body workout blending together various aspects of ballet, Pilates and strength based exercises. Grip socks required.

Join us for our signature barre workout! SPICE Barre is a low impact, full body workout blending together various aspects of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength based exercises. Our classes are designed to keep muscular development balanced by incorporating the use of hand weights, resistance bands, bender balls, mat work, and of course the barre. This is a challenging but fun class set to lively music to keep that energy pumping! In these classes, you will work on stability, strength, stamina, toning, and stretching. Grip socks required.
