Coming Soon!
Tap 7/8

Tap dance is characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. The sound is made by shoes that have a metal "tap" on the heel and toe. Classes will explore several styles of tap dance, including rhythm, classical, and Broadway. This class is for high intermediate through advanced tap students with several years of experience.

Conservatory Program

Dancers more interested in the study of ballet, and those wishing to work en pointe, should be studying in the Ballet Conservatory Program. A wide breadth of classes are offered, taught by highly trained professional teachers.

Leveled Classes

This division is designed for dancers who are new to ballet, or who study ballet as a support for their jazz, tap, and other dance studies.

Ballet, Jazz and Tap

In Levels 3 & 4 we introduce the format of a traditional ballet class, working at the barre and continuing on to center practice. Jazz and Tap classes give students the opportunity to move a little quicker and enjoy dancing to more contemporary music.

Tap

Tap classes help dancers further their understanding of rhythm and improve articulation of the feet and ankles.

Ballet

In Ballet class, floor exercises build strength and flexibility while center exercises develop musicality and coordination. Tap classes help dancers further their understanding of rhythm and improve articulation of the feet and ankles.

Children’s Division Ballet curriculum

The Children’s Division ballet curriculum is an organized syllabus of instruction based fundamentally on the Russian Vaganova syllabus, while incorporating other contemporary training methods and up-to-date movement principles. Through movement exercises designed to build coordination, musicality, strength and flexibility this program provides a strong foundation in classical ballet technique and overall dance education.

Full Season Classes

Our full season classes run September - June. Sequential movement patterns, simple counting skills and spatial awareness are developed as the season continues. Full season dancers have the opportunity to perform in a Spring Dance Concert every other year. No prior dance experience is needed.
