While the studio offers enriching experiences for all, its elite Xtreme Dance Company (XDC) program is designed for driven individuals seeking to elevate their artistry and performance skills through advanced technical training, conventions, and competitive regionals, often culminating in national finals. Beyond competition, XDC participates in community performances, contributing to the local arts scene. The studio fosters a strong sense of community through engaging events such as Jingle Jammie Week, Christmas Toy Drives, Movie Nights, and exciting excursions like a New York City bus trip. Classes

TECHNIQUE / CONDITIONING

Technique / Conditioning at its simplest form is the practical application of sports science to enhance movement quality. It’s grounded in evidence-based research and physiology of exercise and anatomy. We all move and therefore we can all benefit from a better quality of movement. Some of the major benefits could include injury prevention, improved performance, strengthen bones, improved posture and enhanced general health.

FAIRYTALE BALLET

Fairytale Ballet introduces ballet terminology and steps, correct body placement, and musical rhythms. This class caters to the youngest dancer and showcases beloved Nursery Rhymes with engaging props and music. Musical instruments, scarves and more enhance the learning environment to reinforce simple creative movement. Help toddlers connect socially, reinforces concepts of print, and introduces new words. Fairytale ballet also encourages independent thinking, creativity, and understanding of emotions while developing balance and body awareness.

ACROBATS

Acrobats is a high energy class that incorporates strength training so that students can continue to build the muscles that will help them master more tricks and tumbling. Each student will receive one on one spotting and instruction as they go across the mat and through each station so that they can build strength and confidence in their body’s ability.

BREAK DANCING

Break dancing is a form of dance that involves rapid acrobatic moves in which different parts of the body touch the ground; normally performed to the rhythm of hip hop music.

POINTE

Pointe is a style of dance performed with specially made shoes that allow you to stand on your toes. This class is for experienced students only. Students must be enrolled in a ballet/lyrical class while enrolled in pointe and must be at least 11 years of age.

CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary is an extremely artistic style of dance. It is a fusion of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and usually contains an emotional journey, or story. There is a lot of creative freedom when it comes to contemporary dance.

LYRICAL

Lyrical is a fusion of ballet, jazz, and modern, with expressive motions that tell a story. These classes blend the sustained, controlled movement of ballet with the freedom, power, and dynamics of jazz and modern. Students will learn lyrical technique along with freedom of expression and interpretation of music.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical Theatre is a theatrical dance style that includes dance technique and acting to songs from broadways and musicals. These dance numbers usually consist of a story being told or a character being formed.

HIP HOP

Hip Hop is a fun, high-energy class that uses the latest sounds in music to give each student an opportunity to develop their own sense of style as well as enhance their coordination, strength, and endurance.

BALLET

Ballet is a technical dance form that is considered to be the foundation of all dance forms. Students are taught correct body placement, application, and vocabulary. Classes are designed to help develop strength, poise, and grace.

TAP

Tap Is a form of dance tapped out audibly by means of shoes with hard soles or soles and heels to which taps have been added. Our focus is to improve the student's sound clarity, rhythm and musicality, timing and phrasing.

JAZZ

Jazz is an exciting and ever evolving dance form full of rhythm, syncopation, passion and life. Classes explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, ribcage, feet and arms and encourage individual expression and the development of personal style.
