Pre-Ballet/Tap: Ages 3.5 (by September)-5.5 yrs old: Preschool Foundations I: Ballet, tap, jazz combo class. This is a foundational class for young dancers.

Hip Hop

Our Hip Hop classes are based on the fundamentals such as popping, locking, breaking and street jazz elements. This is a fun, upbeat, funky and popular class for all levels. Hip Hop really challenges dancers' musicality and rhythm through dynamic movements.

Acro

AcroDance, or “Acro” is a fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Dancers seamlessly blend together acrobatic movements in a dance context. Acro is an especially challenging style for dancers to master as training in both dance and acrobatic elements is highly recommended. Acro technique includes limbering, tumbling and partnering, based on flexibility, contortion and strength. With our staff being certified through The Acrobatic Arts Program, we provide easy to follow progressions of skills for dancers utilizing a building block model that is easy for dancers to see their success and progression through the curriculum.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance draws from ballet, modern and jazz implementing a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet, jazz and modern with a fluid, continuous style, expressing lyrics and emotions through your dancing.

Tap

Students will continue to work on the fundamentals of tap, focusing on rhythms and musicality. Class time consists of a warm-up, across the floor exercises and center floor combinations.

Jazz

Your typical jazz dance class includes a warm-up and stretch, across the floor movement and center floor combinations. Our jazz classes include popular dance styles and theater dance.

Pointe

Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. Dancers continue to learn ballet terminology based on a combination of Vaganova and Cecchetti methods and techniques.

Ballet

Our ballet curriculum focuses on proper body placement, strength and stretch of legs and feet, fluid arm carriage, flexibility and musicality. Dancers continue to learn ballet terminology based on a combination of Vaganova and Cecchetti methods and techniques.

Level 4

These levels are now studied in an individual class format. This is when dancers really push past the basics and focus on the artistry and technique of each style.

Level I

These classes are an hour and a half long. A combo class style of ballet, tap and jazz. The students keep progressing and building on their skills, preparing them to branch out into individual class styles.

These are combo classes that are an hour and fifteen minutes long made up of ballet, tap and jazz. As the students progress, they are ready to dedicate more time to each subject which allows the students to focus more on building skills in these areas.

This one hour class of ballet/tap is our way of introducing the basic elements of dance to this age group. We start with ballet, which is where we focus on body placement and correct terminology. In the tap portion, we learn basic steps and rhythm.
