E-Rae’s Team Production

All dancers take part in our one-of-a-kind Team Production number—an experience packed with teamwork, performance skills, and tons of valuable training.

Intensive Team

Our Intensive Team attends multiple competitions throughout the year, proudly representing E-Rae’s with heart, hard work, and team spirit. In addition to competition, dancers also attend conventions and conferences, where they train with master teachers and choreographers from across the industry—gaining powerful inspiration and elevating their technique, artistry, and performance skills.

Shining Stars Ages 5-7

The Shining Star Program is by invitation only and is designed for our younger dancers as a stepping stone into the exciting world of competitive dance. In the program, dancers will receive more intensive age-appropriate training in ballet, tap, jazz, and acro. They will also perform on a competition stage with the Intensive Team at select local competitions throughout the year. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin exploring the world of competitive dance while improving dance technique, building teamwork skills, and making lasting friendships.

Modern

This is a style focusing on natural body movement with an increased focus on personal interpretation and self-expression. Dancers will also become familiar with improvisation: creating movement on the spot without prior planning or choreography. Modern instruction emphasizes a whole body, anatomical approach to dance that includes flexibility, strength, coordination and body and spatial awareness to enable unrestricted, dramatic freedom of expression.

Lyrical

A dance style focusing on a combination of ballet and jazz movements performed in a way that dancers can express their feelings and emotions through the song they are dancing to. It is a technique with a free form of movement and theme, and dance steps are choreographed to the lyrics of a song.

Hip Hop

This incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles, representing body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of Hip Hop music. It is a dynamic style that helps dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance and coordination.

Tap

Tap is a style involving rhythm, dynamics, and varying sounds. Dancers warm up to loosen their ankles and knees for proper execution of skills, across-the-floor progressions, and have center floor work to learn and perfect new skills.

Jazz

This dance style focuses on learning proper dance techniques such as isolation of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Dancers will work on strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. Dancers will learn choreography to popular and age-appropriate music of today along with vintage styles of jazz from the last decades.

Acro

Our Acro classes combine tumbling, limbering, and balancing with traditional dance techniques using safe, age-appropriate progressions. Utilizing industry leading Acrobatic Arts curriculum with certified Acrobatic Arts instructors, dancers will learn acrobatic skills such as cartwheels, bridges, walkovers, and handstands. Acro helps develop and improve core strength, spine stability, upper body strength, control & flexibility.

Ballet

Being that ballet dance is a core subject in all dance training, students will be educated and challenged to continually grow and develop their technique. Ballet training will also work on providing grace, strength, poise, balance and flexibility which will help improve students’ training in other subjects and activities.

K Dance
