Classes

Pole Silks

These classes are comprised of a beautiful combination between pole dance and aerial fabric/silks. Enjoy the support of the aerial silk while learning tricks and spins around the pole. The combination of the two apparatuses allows for supported, creative, and beautiful combinations on both static and spinning pole.

Yin Yoga

Yin is a slow-paced, restorative, non-flow yoga class composed of passive, longer holding postures. Yin postures require the muscles to relax in order to target the connective tissues. A yin practice enables a deep release of tendons, ligaments, and fascia - promoting healthy joints.

VinYin Yoga

Yoga Sculpt

Spin Pole Theory

Designed for students who are currently in Pole Level 1 and are ready to explore the exciting world of spin pole. You'll learn the fundamental concepts and techniques needed to move fluidly and safely on a spinning pole. Pole Mechanics : The science of controlling the pole's rotation using your body weight and grip.

Pole Level 3

Ready to play upside down?! This class is created for those who are already working on combination spins and climbs and are excited to take it to the next level. Clients will build on inversions and holds that require intermediate to advanced strength, coordination, and flexibility.

Pole Level 2

These classes are designed to build upon the fundamentals introduced in Pole Level 1 and Pole Level 1-2 Classes. You will refine the basics and continue to learn stronger spins, combinations, climbs, and inverts. Pole level 2 classes are taught on both static and spin mode.

Pole Level 1

This class is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of pole dance. Each class begins with a 15 minute warm up, 40 minutes of unique choreography, and a 5 minute cool-down. The focus of each Pole Level 1 class will vary and integrate instruction for various tricks and spins.

Pole Fit Drills - Mixed Levels

While this is an all levels class, and taught with progressive modifications, this class is not recommended as your first class. Pole Fit focuses on building strength, endurance, and flexibility to improve your overall Pole Dance practice.

Intro to Pole

Welcome to Pole Dance! Designed for complete beginners, our Introduction to Pole Dancing class will leave you feeling confident and inspired! You'll experience various aspects of the fundamentals of pole dance, movement, floorwork, and conditioning while you improve coordination and have FUN!

Heels Choreography

This class is designed for Pole Level 1 and 2 clients looking to add strength and sass to their repertoire. Classes will integrate floor work, conditioning, choreography, and exotic tricks! This class will leave you feeling empowered, sexy, and strong!

Floorwork - All Levels

A thorough warm-up is followed by active stretches and movement exercises designed to help you find more elegant lines in your pole dance routine. You'll learn a short flow of classic and unique floorwork sequences, traveling, and transitions.

Flexibility Training

Flexibility is an important part of pole training and overall fitness. This class focuses on dynamic flexibility skills and drills. Class begins with a warm-up, core strengthening, and may include work with straps, poles, blocks, and/or bands.

Barre Vertical

Our fusion format for those ready to transform, strengthen, and sweat in a whole new way! Get ready for Barre Vertical at Polarity Fitness – where classic barre meets the pole! A blend of ballet, Pilates, and yoga, we're taking those small, powerful movements and amping them up using a vertical pole as our barre for next-level training.

Yoga, Flexibility & Barre Vertical

Yoga Mats are REQUIRED for certain classes (please see each class description) such as Yoga, Flexibility & Barre Vertical and optional for other classes. Your own mat will personalize your practice and is more hygienic. Bring a sweat towel for your body. Rental Yoga mats are $5. Yoga blocks & Straps are provided. Kangoo Dance

She has been passionate about teaching fitness classes ranging from Kangoo Dance to Pole Fitness for over 10 years. Laura has a creative and energetic approach and strives to motivate all of her clients to achieve their goals and be the best versions of themselves.

jazz/contemporary dance

A lifelong athlete, performer, and devotee of the expressive arts, Erin has a unique movement background which includes jazz/contemporary dance, competitive cheerleading, rock climbing, roller skating, and equestrian sports.

ballroom dance

In high school he was involved in musical theater, choir, and ballroom dance. He studied music theory and vocal performance at Washtenaw Community College.

Tap dancing

From tap dancing in elementary school, he moved on to play percussion for about a decade. In high school he was involved in musical theater, choir, and ballroom dance.

Ballet

Sophia is also a certified personal trainer and avid ballet dancer.

She grew up in Plymouth, MI where she started taking Ballet lessons at the age of three (3) and has been dancing ever since. As she was growing up, Sophia studied many different styles of dance including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Lyrical and Hip Hop. In her college years, Sophia studied Dance and Theatre at Hope College and received her B.A. in Theatre in 2012.

Argentine Tango

In her adult life, Sophia was drawn to the passion of Argentine Tango. She now competes, performs and teaches Tango with her partner José. Sophia is also a certified personal trainer and avid ballet dancer.

Pole

Her passion for art, movement, and science drive her goal of becoming a better teacher and mover through continuous learning, love, and kindness.

Pole Dance

When Sophia stumbled upon pole dance, she was drawn to the strength, sensuality, and self-expression pole dance has to offer. As an instructor, Sophia believes in challenging students while giving space for creativity, artistry, and personal expression.

She believes that you can work hard and have fun getting fit! She has been passionate about teaching fitness classes ranging from Kangoo Dance to Pole Fitness for over 10 years. Dexter started pole dancing in 2019 as a member of the Michigan Pole Dance Society and has been teaching since 2024. He has trained at studios in Michigan, New York, and California. He has recently returned to Ann Arbor as a University of Michigan Grad Student. Outside of the pole world, he enjoys rock climbing, crafts, and hopes to get into other aerial sports!

Doubles Pole Workshop

We are beyond thrilled to bring back our super popular, Doubles Workshop - don't miss out! Great for students new to doubles and ready to learn basic partner pole skills in a fun way. Emily & Morgan (Pole Duo Champions) will teach you tricks, spins, and choreography with a partner. You will learn that balance and trust is key! This workshop is recommended for Pole Level 1-2 students and above. If you do not have a partner, no problem! We will pair you up with someone in class.

Invert Theory
No Additional fee for this Specialty Class (regular pricing)

Explore the science behind invert theory! Learn how to condition/train the proper alignment and placement of the body. This workshop is perfect for those practitioners who are new to inversions as well as those who are inverting but are striving for cleaner technique.

Twerk Dance Workshop

What you've been waiting for!!! Kayla will teach you to shake it with different techniques of twerking and challenge you with fun drills. Learn how to move with the beat of the music, build both endurance and hip flexibility. Come break a sweat & let loose with us as we build a TWERK Choreo! All levels welcome, and variations will be offered. Loose pants or short shorts recommended, and knee pads required (rental pads available).
