About Washington's Cheer & Dance Academy

Washington's Cheer & Dance Academy, located in Philadelphia, Mississippi, was established in 2015 by Melonie Moore-Washington with a mission to inspire and foster every athlete's dream. This inclusive academy welcomes students of all ages and experience levels, offering a diverse spectrum of programs designed to cultivate talent and passion. Our comprehensive training covers both cheerleading and dance, with a wide array of dance styles available including Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Ballroom. For our youngest dancers (ages 3-8), we offer a Tiny Tot Dance/Tumbling combo class, alongside dedicated Beginner Tumbling and Beginner Dance classes. Older students (ages 9 and up) can advance their skills in Advanced Hip Hop/Jazz Dance, as well as Intermediate and Advanced Tumbling courses. Washington's Cheer & Dance Academy also provides agility training to enhance flexibility, body awareness, and balance, benefiting any athletic pursuit. Students seeking personalized instruction can opt for private lessons in 30-minute or 1-hour sessions. Beyond recreational classes focused on skill development in a non-competitive environment, the academy also prepares athletes for competitive endeavors. We extend our expertise to school consultation and coaching, assisting varsity and junior varsity squads with competition and choreography. At Washington's Cheer & Dance Academy, we are dedicated to community service projects and providing exceptional training for all.
