We will avoid strenuous grande plies and jetes in favor of smaller movements done slowly. Slow movements cause our core to constantly adjust, using strength, balance and coordination to challenge our bodies and brains. Think of this class as an opportunity to put your multi-tasking skills to the test – arms, legs, body and music all moving together to produce a beautiful form of self-expression.

Adult Belly Dance (6week)
Yalla! Students will dive into the music and culture of Egypt as they learn the torso-centric movements of Egyptian social dance we know as “belly dance”! We will learn how to adapt these movements for the stage and have fun moving our bodies in new ways. Students may bring a simple hip scarf - NO coins please. Students may choose to go barefoot.
