About Shane Lalani Center for the Arts

The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts, nestled in Livingston, Montana, is a vibrant hub for artistic expression and community engagement, offering a rich tapestry of creative opportunities, including a growing dedication to dance. While renowned for its robust theatre and performing arts programming for all ages, the center also fosters a passion for movement and dance. Specific dance classes like "Beginners Two-Step" and "Intermediate Two-Step" are prominently featured, led by instructor Mick Burlington for individuals aged 16 and up, providing a structured avenue to explore the joy of social partner dancing. Beyond these dedicated dance offerings, the center's commitment to dance is further underscored by its "Musical Theater" programs, which often incorporate various dance styles. The center also provides a dynamic environment for performing arts enthusiasts of all ages, with "Young Actors' Workshops" for ages 6-17 and "Teen Theatre Productions" for ages 13-18. The Mainstage Season, including productions like "RENT," "Percy Jackson," and a holiday "high-energy variety show," hints at further opportunities for participation in performance arts, potentially including dance, for ages 13 and up. The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts consistently enriches the cultural landscape of Livingston and the surrounding Park and Gallatin Counties, dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering creativity, confidence, and self-discovery within its community.
