Serendipity Dance Studio

The performance team class is separate from our standard classes, there are no discounts for this opportunity. There are no makeup classes available for the team. All dancers are expected to attend regularly. This will ensure the best routine performances from the group.

Serendipity Dance Studio Performance Team is made for dedicated dancers who love to dance and are looking for a non-competitive way to do more! The team is held to a higher expectation than our regular classes. However, this is not as strict as a competition team. An important lesson taught through our Performance Team is the value of teamwork. Dancers join us in class where they will spend up to 45 mins a week working on technique and routines to upbeat music and Have FUN!

In order to have dancers in the appropriate classes, the age cut of is OCTOBER 1st. Example: Ballet/Tap 5-6 yr olds, dancer must be 5 by October 1st, in order to reach the age requirement.

Dancers will continue to learn the proper technique for the flowy lyrical style. A lyrical dance will be performed in the recital.

Musical Theater dance focusing on various styles of dance used in the theater. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. A musical theater dance will be performed in the recital.

Jazz dance is a faster-paced dance style that combines popular dance moves and basic to advanced dance techniques. Students will also learn tap dancing steps and techniques. A Jazz dance will be performed in the recital.

Continuing ballet building on techniques and advanced pirouettes/steps. A ballet dance will be performed in the recital.

Continuing the combination of classical dance and acrobatics as well as strength and conditioning with more advanced technique. Acro dance will be performed in the recital.

Dancers will continue to learn proper technique, turns, and leaps. A lyrical dance will be performed in the recital.

Dancers will continue to work on technique, posture, and terminology. A ballet dance will be performed in the recital.

Jazz dance is a faster-paced dance combining popular dance moves and basic dance techniques. A Jazz dance will be performed in the recital.

Hip Hop is a mix of freestyle and street dance. Dancers will learn the basic steps to hip hop. A hip hop dance will be performed in the recital.

Jazz is fun and fast-paced. Dancers will learn proper technique, turns, and leaps. A jazz dance will be performed in the recital.

Cheer Dance is a combination of cheerleading and dance. The class incorporates dance, cheerleading, and basic gymnastics. A Cheer Dance will be performed in the recital.

Lyrical is a slow, flowy style. Dancers will learn proper technique, turns, and leaps. A lyrical dance will be performed in the recital.

Hip Hop is a mix of freestyle and street dance. Dancers will learn the basic steps to hip hop. A hip hop dance will be performed in the recital.

Dancers will learn basic to more advanced tap steps and learn rhythm through their feet. The dancers will continue learning proper technique and poster. A tap dance will be performed in the recital.

Combination of classical dance mixed with acrobatic movements. Dancers will learn how to stretch and condition their muscles. Acro dance will be performed in the recital.

Build on the ballet basics to the next level. Dancers will continue to work on technique, posture and terminology. A ballet dance will be performed in the recital.

This is a combination class of approximately 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap. Technique is combined with placement, posture, rhythm and motor skills are developed in both ballet and tap. Ballet and tap will be performed in the recital. Designed for ages 5-6.

Hip Hop is a mix of freestyle and street dance. The dancers will learn basic steps to hip hop. A hip hop dance will be performed in the recital. Designed for ages 5-6.

Dancers will learn basic acrobatic movements such as forward roll and a bridge. An acro dance will be performed in the recital. Designed for ages 5-6.

This beginning tap class will help dancers begin to learn the basics of tap. Shuffle, Tap, Digs, Scuff... just a few steps they will learn. This class helps the dancer work on their balance since they are focused on using the foot more. Designed for ages 3-4 years old. A tap dance will be performed in the recital.

Dancers will learn basic acrobatic movements such as forward roll and a bridge. An acro dance will be performed in the recital. Designed for age 4

Ballet is a fun way for children to explore movement through music and dance. Your child will develop motor skills, coordination, rhythmic awareness and balance with kids their age. Join us for 30 minutes of fun for the little ones! Designed for ages 3-4 years old. Ballet will be performed in the recital.

Dance with me class is for toddlers and their parent/guardian. This a fun way for children to explore movement through music and dance. Your child will develop motor skills, coordination, rhythmic awareness and balance with kids their age. Join us for 30 minutes of fun! Both parent/guardian and child can participate in the recital if they choose.

Dancers will learn tap steps while slowly progressing to more advanced steps. We will feel the rhythm through our feet. The dancers will learn proper technique and posture. A tap dance will be performed in the recital. Participation in the recital dance is optional.

Work at the Barre and improve your balance in beginner ballet. Learn the basic ballet positions, steps, and turns. Dancers will work on proper technique and posture. A ballet dance will be performed in the recital. Participation in the recital dance is optional.
