About Perna Dance Center

Perna Dance Center, located in Hazlet, New Jersey, has been a cornerstone of quality dance education for nearly four decades. Founded in 1988 by Hedy and Patrick Perna, the studio, under the seasoned guidance of Miss Hedy (over 40 years of experience), nurtures dancers and maximizes their potential in a supportive, non-competitive environment. This vibrant family business, with Miss Liza also contributing, offers a diverse range of programs for all ages, from preschoolers (3-7) and graded levels (7-18) to dedicated adult classes (18+). Perna Dance Center prides itself on an age-appropriate experience and an inclusive "Danceable" Special Abilities Program, starting November 10th. Their comprehensive curriculum includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, contemporary, and musical theater. The experienced and devoted faculty, many "homegrown" graduates, ensure a fun and enriching experience through continuing education. Perna Dance Center emphasizes performance opportunities, including an annual year-end production and holiday show, renowned for their professional presentation, as well as community events, parades, festivals, and cross-country trips.
