Nestled in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, the Lynn Academy of Irish Dance is a premier institution dedicated to the art and sport of Irish dance. For over two decades, the academy has cultivated a deep appreciation for traditional Irish movement within a safe, positive, and inclusive studio environment. Lynn Academy USA IDA is committed to empowering each student to realize their full potential, fostering success both on and off the dance floor through effective dance education programs. The academy boasts a distinguished faculty, including instructors like Kate Bortz, TCRG, who brings extensive competitive experience and pre-professional ballet training; Ashley Tuccinardi, an Associate with World Championship podium finishes and regional champion titles; and Mary LYNN Collins-Callanan, an Associate and consultant who is a former Regional, National, and World Champion recaller with a professional ballet career background. These dedicated instructors nurture skills for dancers of all levels, whether aspiring to be world champions or simply enjoying the art form. Lynn Academy offers a comprehensive program for all ages, starting with 'Reel Tots' for children as young as three and a half, and progressing through 'Level A' classes for beginners. Students master foundational steps and progress to reels and jigs, with a curriculum emphasizing proper stretching, posture, and exercise. The academy hosts three 12-week sessions annually (Fall, Winter, Spring) with summer camps and provides opportunities for new students to join anytime. Beyond regular classes, the academy fosters community through its end-of-year showcase and exciting competitions like the "Feis at the Castle" and "Sweets of May Feis." Dancers also have opportunities to perform in local events, including St. Patrick's Day parades. Demonstrating dedication to the broader community, Lynn Academy was instrumental in establishing the USA Irish Dance Alliance in 2020, becoming the 29th branch of An Chomhdhail. Champion Irish step dancers are also available for customized performances throughout the NY, NJ, and CT tri-state area.
