Classes

Hip-Hop

All hip-hop dancers will be required to wear a black leotard, black jazz shorts and tights, black sweatpants or yoga pants as long as they conform to the dancer’s body. Black Jazz sneakers are required. No street shoes or clothes are permitted to be worn. T-shirts may be worn at the discretion of the dance instructor on the floor. Depending on the class, black boots may be required.

Lyrical/Modern Ballet

All lyrical classes are required to wear a black leotard, theatrical pink footless tights, and dance paws/turning shoes. No t-shirts, loose fitting tops or bottoms will be permitted.

Modern/Contemporary

All modern classes are required to wear a black leotard/unitard, black footless tights, and no shoes will be worn. No t-shirts, loose fitting tops or bottoms will be permitted.

Tap

All tap classes are required to wear a black leotard or black sports bra, black jazz shorts or pants, black tights and black oxford tap shoes. (Ages 8 & up require lace up oxford tap shoes)

Jazz

All jazz classes are required to wear a black leotard, black sports bra, black jazz shorts or pants, black tights and black jazz shoes. No tan or flesh colored tights, loose fitting tops or bottoms will not be permitted. Please note: depending on the dance routine, Levels 1-4 may require tan shoes or pedinis.

Combo Classes

All combination classes are required to wear a leotard and tights, in black or pink ONLY. They must wear pink ballet shoes and black patent leather tap shoes. No shorts, skirts, attached skirts or loose hanging clothing will be permitted.

Ballet

All ballet classes are required to wear long sleeve, short sleeve, or camisole black leotard, theatrical pink tights and theatrical pink canvas ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back into a bun. No shorts or loose hanging clothing will be permitted in ballet class. No attached skirts are permitted.

Acro

All Acro classes are required to wear a black leotard, black jazz shorts or leggings, or a black unitard. Dancers are asked to be barefoot during this class.

Technique

Technique classes are for our more serious dancers who want to take their technique to the next level. These specialized technique focused classes will help the motivated dancer kick their dance skills into high-gear! Classes focus on technique reinforcement, strength and conditioning, and flexibility. We also work on turns, jumps, tricks and other skills.

Tap

Tap is a style of dance characterized by the sound of the metal tap striking the floor. Tap utilizes rhythm, syncopation, and sound in addition to movement. An emphasis is placed on musicality, expression, and improvisation.

Musical Theatre

Our musical theatre students will learn the magical world of theatre through singing, dancing, and acting. Classes for a wide array of ages and levels will feature acting games and improvisational techniques, vocal exercises, and movement instruction. Join our nationally award winning musical theatre program!

Modern

Modern dance utilizes the full body to express abstract themes in music. This class will focus on strength, control, and the ability to utilize shifts in body weight and position to convey a message.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz to create a soft style that emphasizes the storytelling quality of music. An emphasis is placed on grace and fluidity, musicality, and expressiveness to capture emotion through movement.

Jazz

Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance. It is a wonderful class to get a well rounded variety of all dance steps.

Hip Hop

This class explores Hip-Hop movements and technique while instilling rhythm and precision into your muscle memory. Popping, locking, breaking and other styles are covered. Get ready to pop, jump, kick, break dance, and get down with this athletic-style dance that encourages improvisation and personal style.

Contemporary

Our contemporary classes teach students to interpret his or her movement with feeling, motion and style by combining the foundational styles of ballet, modern, and jazz. The class will also explore improvisation techniques.

Ballet

We offer a variety of class levels from Beginner to Advanced so that your dancer will find the perfect fit. Our ballet classes are classically structured, and include barre, floor, and center work to increase balance, agility, strength, and flexibility while gaining a solid foundation of ballet training.

Acro

AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, Acro yoga, Pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner preschool level dancer from log rolls and somersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage!
