Shoreline Dance Academy

Join your little one in an interactive class, which includes dancing, playing and much more! Great way to have fun with your dancer while building confidence and touching on basic dance terminology.

Acrobatics and Tumbling class will introduce the student to graceful tumbling mixed with dance. Rolls, cartwheels, aerials and more!

Musical Theater class will introduce the student to the various choreographers of the Broadway stage. Various styles and dance combinations will be presented. This class is appropriate for dancers ages 8 & up.

Hip-Hop infuses jazz dance with street style. Our Hip-Hop classes will introduce the children to the history and journey of Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop classes are available for dancers ages 3 and up. We offer Hip-Hop class for 3-5 year olds, Hip-Hop/Jazz classes for ages 5-7, Hip Hop classes for ages 8 & up, and we offer two section of Hip Hop for boys; one class for boys 5-8 and one for boys 9 & up.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive movement that combines several dance genres including modern, lyrical, jazz, and ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and body through fluid dance movements. Students 8 and up are eligible for this program.

Modern Dance goes beyond the limits of ballet and favors more “earthy” and grounded movements. There are many different styles of Modern dance. In Modern classes the student will cover different modern styles based upon some of the following Modern dance pioneers; Graham, Horton, and Limon. Placement for Modern Class is determined by the Director. Students ages 8 and up are eligible for this program.

Lyrical dance is a fusion of Ballet and Jazz techniques. Lyrical dance uses motion to interpret music and express emotion. Lyrical dance is passionate and emotional. Placement for Lyrical Class is determined by the Director. Students ages 8 and older are eligible for this program.

Jazz dance teaches the history of jazz technique, introducing students to the classical jazz style with an influence of street jazz. Jazz class offers a warm-up, across the floor work and a center combination. It is a fast paced class and great for any level dancer. Jazz classes are available for children ages 8 and up.

Tap class presents the history of tap while incorporating rhythm tap techniques of today. Tap styles will be introduced from each era and the dancer will become familiar with various styles of music and dance. Tap classes are offered for children ages 8 and up. We also offer Adult Tap Classes.

These classes are designed for the dancer who is looking to broaden their ballet studies. This class is open to all dancers ages 11 and up and runs for two hours. You will have the option to sign up for one hour or for both hours. This class will work toward a goal of eventually competing a ballet routine. Taught by Ms. Darika, this class is sure to please any student looking for more opportunity in ballet.

Ballet is the basis of all forms of dance. Ballet class teaches the student how to move with grace, precision, and fluidity. Placement for Ballet Class is determined by the Director. Students ages 8 and older are eligible for this program.

For the dancer ages 5-7 we offer Pre Level classes. Pre Level classes offer the young dancer the opportunity to be introduced to many different disciplines of dance. The dancer will learn a specific dance style in an enthusiastic, fun, and positive manner. Pre Level classes are offered daily.

For the dancer ages 3-5 we offer Combination Classes. Combination classes offer the young dancer an environment to explore creative movement while introducing basic dance terminology. Combination Classes are offered daily. We offer Combination classes in ballet/tap, ballet/hip hop, and hip hop/jazz.
