About The Dance House

The Dance House, located in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, has been a vibrant hub for young dancers since its founding in 2009. Owned by Jackie Spittler, who brings a background in Musical Theater and Education, the studio fosters growth and confidence in dancers from 18 months through their teenage years. The Dance House offers a diverse and comprehensive curriculum, nurturing "triple threats" who excel in dance, acting, and singing with a deep commitment to musical theater. Students immerse themselves in Broadway basics and performance classes, culminating in full-scale musical productions, with some alumni achieving success in Broadway National Tours and Regional Theater. Beyond this unique focus, the studio provides a robust musical theater program alongside recreational and competitive dance opportunities. Dancers are introduced to ballet and creative movement, progressing to structured combo classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. As they advance, they can explore contemporary, lyrical, and acrobatics. For intensive training, a competitive company program is available. Special summer camps, including K-Pop themed sessions, and birthday parties with custom dance classes are also highlights. The studio boasts a supportive environment with instructors like Susie, Amanda, Gina, Emma, Danielle, Sarah, Ally, and Valerie, all dedicated to building confidence through trust, encouragement, teamwork, and mutual respect. Master classes with Broadway professionals further enrich the students' training, fostering poise, stage presence, and a positive self-image, ensuring dancers grow, belong, and thrive.
