LaChaney’s Dance & Music Academy - Union

These dancers ages 4 to 18 are accepted for additional training and are considered part of the “PAC” team at the Academy. PAC members will have the opportunity to audition for competition teams and special programs throughout the year. The “PAC” program strives to prepare our students to become “Leaders” in today’s society. Through developing confidence, control, character, discipline, and positive self-esteem we are not only training up dancers but individuals who will be able to carry themselves as professional people for a lifetime. In this class, our dancers build on their ballet technique, modern, jazz, tap and hip-hop. This program is intensive and involves specialty classes for competition preparation. Dancers competing will have to be available to travel.

Fuse multiple techniques from Ballet, Jazz, and Modern to create expressive, story-driven movement. Explore creative concepts like improvisation, partnering, and interpreting music through complex and fluid qualities. Prerequisite: Enrollment in a Ballet class is required to build the necessary technical foundation.

Build strength & flexibility while mastering acro fundamentals like rolls, crab walks, bridges, and cartwheels. Progress to advanced skills including handstands, backbends, and cartwheel variations with guided coaching. Develop crucial coordination and balance in a supportive environment—no prior experience is needed!

An introduction to ballet using creative, imaginative role-playing and fun props. This program starts as early as 2 years old. This program is suitable for both boys and girls. Program designed for dancers to have fun while learning the fundamentals of ballet technique along the way. This class can be combined with our Hip-Hop and Tumble class.
