Classes

Acro

Acrobatics focuses on flexibility and tumbling with an emphasis on acrobatics for dance. Taught by an instructor certified in Acrobatic Arts

Tiny Toes

A creative movement class with aspects of ballet for ages 2-3. Focus on preparation for Mini classes.

Mini Groovers

An introduction to the basics of jazz and hip hop dancing for dancers ages 5-6. Focus is on terminology and proper technique to prepare for Level 1 classes.

Pointe

Pointe is a classical ballet genre where dancers perform on the tips of their toes using specially designed shoes called pointe shoes. It requires exceptional strength, technique, and balance, as dancers appear weightless while executing precise, graceful movements. (Instructor Permission Required)

Pom

dance classes that involve the use of pom-poms, often seen in cheerleading or dance teams. These classes combine elements of cheerleading, jazz dance, and hip-hop, focusing on sharp, energetic movements, and synchronization, while incorporating pom-poms as an integral part of the choreography.

Founded on jazz technique with a focus on Broadway performances and genres. Classes integrate dancing and acting with an emphasis on interpreting lyrics. Some singing may be included.

Hip Hop

Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture.

Contemporary/Lyrical

Contemporary dance is a dance style that rejects many of the strict rules of classical ballet, focusing instead on the expression of inner feelings. Lyrical is a slow, expressive type of dance that incorporates ballet technique. This dance style’s main goal is to interpret the lyrics of the song through movement.

Jazz

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms.
