Conklin Dance Acadamy

Classical Ballet Program under the umbrella of the Conklin Dance Academy. Technique and syllabus based classes for ages 3 and up. This program will lay a strong foundation of Classical Ballet to enhance your child's dance training as well as build confidence, poise, and strength.

This option is for duo or trio lessons, with a duration of 30 minutes per week per student.

This option is for private lessons, with a duration of 30 minutes per week.

This option includes unlimited classes for 5 or more hours per week.

Monthly tuition is based on 4 classes per month. This class duration is 1.5 hours.

Leslie Canfield received further training through her 6 years as a competitive dancer, many years as a classroom demonstrator, and a year of training received from the Ballet Theatre of Scranton.

Ashley Samons trained in various genres of dance such as ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, hip hop, modern, CaribFunk, and African dance. She has been teaching at Conklin Dance Academy since 2013.

Jamie Markarian earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, while minoring in Dance, focusing on tap, jazz, ballet, and modern. She taught all age levels and dance styles at the Patricia Bostick Dance Center and mostly tap, jazz, and ballet at Windwood Hill Dance Academy.

Stephanie Surowka-Sanders is the movement/dance instructor on the Faculty of the Foothills Opera Experience.

Jazz technique was taught by Stephanie Surowka-Sanders for 7 years as an Adjunct professor in the department of Theatre Dance at Binghamton University. This class is also a focus for Jamie Markarian who taught all age levels and dance styles at the Patricia Bostick Dance Center.

Musical Theatre Dance was taught by Stephanie Surowka-Sanders for 7 years as an Adjunct professor in the department of Theatre Dance at Binghamton University.

Ballet levels I & II were taught by Stephanie Surowka-Sanders for 7 years as an Adjunct professor in the department of Theatre Dance at Binghamton University.

Students can receive training in classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Acrobatics. At CDA we care about our students health and over all well being. We want to support and encourage all of our students to be successful leaders with discipline, kindness, and determination.

Conklin Dance Academy was founded in 2012 under the direction of Stephanie Surowka-Sanders. We offer classes for ages 14mos (Mommy & Me) through Adult; both recreational and competitive levels are available.

Our most intensive dance program designed for a dancer looking to enhance their training and performance opportunities. Private and group lessons available at the discretion of the Director. Level placement is held over the summer. Our program includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Acrobatics. Performance and competition options are available for Intensive program dancers.
