Tina Marie's Dance Academy

This class will have structure with an emphasis on fun! Our 3-4 year old dancers will learn basic fundamentals and dance routines in the style of jazz, tap and ballet. Dancers will also develop a sense of rhythm and musicality. This class will perform two routines in our annual recital.

Our dancers will have an excellent time in this class! It’s a more structured but positive and fun way to learn the basic fundamentals of jazz, tap and hip hop. We will also incorporate harder dance steps and formations. This class will perform two routines in our annual recital.

Tap class is a dynamic and percussive style of dance. Our dancers will learn fundamentals, complex rhythms and musicality. This class will perform one routine in our annual recital.

Hip-hop is a fun, upbeat style of dance. It is characterized by hard hitting movement and body isolations. It is an extremely high energy style of dance that encompasses a variety of different styles. Dancers in this class will also explore several different styles of jazz. This class will perform one routine in our annual recital.

Dancers in this class will learn to interpret the music in an emotionally expressive and beautiful way. It will also incorporate some foundational movement from modern, jazz and ballet. This class will perform one routine in our annual recital.

Each week our 2-3 year old dancers will experience many creative and fun ways to move to music, including introductory steps for ballet, jazz and tap. They will also tumble, play dance games, improv dance with props (to promote self-confidence and creativity) and much more. This class will perform one routine in our annual recital.

This technique class will focus on the basic foundations of Tumbling and Acrobatics such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, etc. Flexibility, strength and balance will also be included.

This program is for dancers who wish to train with our Competition Team but do not want to compete. These classes are much more structured than our recreational classes and are only intended for those who are seeking an extremely disciplined class environment. Classes would include a minimum of a 1 hour Ballet class, Tap Technique, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Stretch and more. Also included would be two routines for our Recital in June. These two routines are separate from our Competitive routines.
