Classes

Modern

NEW for Level 3+ competitive dancers. Concentrates with expressing your own feelings, it is a very flexible kind of dance. Style that uses body contractions, flexed feet and off-center body shapes. Dancers must be enrolled in ballet.

Lyrical

Competitive and recreational dancers must have ballet experience and currently be enrolled in ballet. Strongly influenced by ballet, its movements use the entire body, extending the body lines. Movement posses a flowing quality, although a strong pulse may be used to emphasize dynamics.

Hip Hop/All Boyz

A form of street dance, the newest trend in jazz dance. Movements are bouncy, fast and funky. Extremely foot oriented but uses isolation movements, popping and break-dancing.

Tap

Movements of tap are concentrated in your feet and ankles. Wearing shoes with metal taps, you tap out the rhythm of the music you are dancing to. Arms, head and hands are important but complementary to the actions of the feet.

Jazz

One of the most popular and well known forms of dance. Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps. In a Jazz class the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance.

Pre-Pointe/Pointe

Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet.

Ballet

A stylized, formal type of performance dancing, Ballet aims to create graceful patterns and involves rigorous training. It is the fundamental technique for all classes. Strongly recommended as an addition to any class.

Acro

Acro Dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.

Toddler Tumble

No adult accompaniment. Does not perform in the yearly showcase. Ages 2-5 yrs.

3-6 Intensive Program

No adult accompaniment. Ages 3-6 yrs.

Dancer Debut

No adult accompaniment. Ages 2-3 yrs.

Me & Mini Me

Adult taking class with young dancer. Ages 1.5-3 yrs.

Intro to Dance: Me & Mini Me, Dancer Debut and our 3-6 Intensive Program!

Broken up into 3 separate levels to accommodate age, ability and correct progression. An intro to Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Acro classes all combined into one class per week! Dancers must be potty-trained in order to take the 1st or 2nd year Intensive class. Me & Mini Me and Dancer Debut classes do not need to be potty-trained in order to enroll.
