About Strike It Up Artistic Center

Strike It Up Artistic Center, located in Ontario, New York, was founded in 2003 by Cori Colombo with a profound commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all dancers. Born from a personal passion for movement, Cori envisioned a studio where every student, regardless of background or body type, could feel safe and encouraged. This vision has shaped Strike It Up into a thriving artistic hub, offering nearly 50 classes in dance, musical theater, music, fitness, and the arts. The studio's name is a nod to the song 'Strike It Up' by C+C Music Factory, a piece that resonated with Cori throughout her dance journey. The studio operates as a true family business, with Cori's mother, father, and sisters all contributing. Cori Colombo, Artistic Director, brings extensive experience from Walt Disney World and a deep passion for Broadway choreography, having worked on over 145 shows. The talented faculty includes Dance Instructors Danielle Colombo-Joseph (Musical Theater major from AMDA, with expertise in voice and theater), Shelbie Colombo, Jaimie Grant, Kaitlynn Schultz (specializing in early childhood education and accessible dance), Joneice Smith, Elena DiSanto, Ella Collier, and David Morton (bringing expertise in Ballet, Horton technique modern, and Aerial arts). Students can explore a wide array of styles such as Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater, Contemporary, Aerial, and Acrobatics.
