Rochester City Ballet, located in Rochester, New York, is a distinguished institution dedicated to classical dance. Established in 1987, it has evolved into a nationally recognized professional ensemble and the sole professional ballet company in Western New York. Following a transition to a fully professional entity in 2003, the company achieved significant milestones, including its first New York City season in 2010 and a performance at the Inside/Out series at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in 2013. Rochester City Ballet's repertoire showcases artistic range with both classical masterpieces and contemporary innovations, featuring full-length ballets and commissioning new works. The ballet school is committed to delivering exceptional dance education, offering instruction that masterfully combines artistry, technique, and passion.
