Founded by Dina Giordano and now under the ownership of Sarah and Ian Antal, the studio offers a comprehensive dance education with a focus on artistic growth and well-being. Sarah Antal, holding a BFA in Dance with a Ballet concentration from Marymount Manhattan College, brings extensive pre-professional training and performance experience, complemented by Ian Antal's background in theater and performance. The esteemed faculty includes Dina Giordano (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop), Debra King (Ballet, Contemporary), Barbara Tosto (Ballet), and Sarah Danelle Roberts (Associate Artistic Director of Hudson Youth Ballet). City Center Dance provides a diverse range of dance disciplines, from foundational Ballet techniques to energetic Hip Hop and expressive Contemporary movement. The studio offers a dedicated pre-professional division for students aspiring to focused study in ballet and contemporary techniques, encompassing progressive ballet technique, contemporary & modern classes, pointe work, variations, men's class, and partnering. Individual private coaching is also available. The studio operates on a traditional school year schedule from September through May, with class placement thoughtfully made based on individual interests, character, age, and skill level, encouraging students to remain at a level for an average of two years to allow for deep engagement. Students in the pre-professional division have the exciting opportunity to participate in Hudson Ballet Theatre's Winter and Spring productions, with annual evaluations conducted through jury-based exams.
