An articulated class where focus on learning the fundamentals of the vocal vocabulary and voice itself will be practiced in hand with theatre performance.

A fluid style that blends movements from European classical ballet, American modern dance, jazz, and other world forms. The performer, through choreographic expression, interprets the lyrics and/or quality of the music. This integrated form allows for freedom of self-expression and has become popular in dance competitions.

An umbrella term for many styles of dance, it includes street moves such as popping, locking, and breaking and a melting pot of movements that can come from anywhere or any time. Backed by popular music (rap, funk, rhythm and blues, and techno).

A type of folk dance in which the dancer's footwear is used percussively by striking the heel, the toe, or both against a floor or each other to create audible rhythms, usually to the downbeat with the heel keeping the rhythm.

Provides a disciplined, structured technique in counterbalance and ignite all other forms of dance. Is the fundamentals, and base for dance technique.

A key element is dancing over and between the downbeats of the music. This style incorporates grounded elements of various dance disciplines, joint release, deep plies, and across the floor variations all synchronized to upbeat tempos.

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements

This is a teacher recommended class only*( TEACHER ADVISES PLACEMENT AS WELL) This class is in addition to your ballet class, not a substitution for your ballet class.

Jazz/Tap Precision Line will be a Parade Class again this year. If you are interested, you must be in 7th grade or higher. Please see Ms. Alicia regarding this class. The fee for this class is a one time fee of $60.00 to cover entry fees.
