Ballet and Modern dance classes include offerings for beginners and experienced dancers. Additionally, "drop-in" and "try-it" classes are available. Each dance class develops and advances students' technique and proficiency, while fostering confidence and creativity.

CCM Prep offers ballet, tap, musical theatre, and modern dance classes for a wide variety of students, early childhood through adult. For beginners and experienced dancers, the dance division offers a welcoming environment where students may explore their artistic interests or begin seeking a professional career in dance.

The Ballet program is intended for the dancer seeking top-level training and a rigorous artistic, academic, and studio curriculum. Majors are encouraged to dance with professional companies while pursuing the degree, as well as to study abroad for international performances.

Modern and contemporary dance technique exercises including contraction & release, spiral to the ground, and turns.

Center work for ballet technique including adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro, and turning combinations.

Ballet technique exercises at the barre including plié, tondu, degage, petit battement, and grand battement.

The Dance Department at CCM is a professionally oriented dance experience offering a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Ballet. Through an intensive academic and studio curriculum, dancers will receive advanced training while cultivating their artistry and inspiring creativity.

This technique class is offered four days per week on Monday through Thursday from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. This level of student will continue fine tuning and enhancing their training in all areas of classical ballet. They will develop stronger musicality, phrasing, and performance qualities. This course is available to all students as a drop-in option.

Offered two days a week on Monday and Wednesday, this beginner-level class introduces and builds fundamental ballet techniques, including barre work, center work, and across-the-floor exercises. This class is designed for students aged 7-9, with prior ballet training.

Offered two days a week on Monday and Wednesdays, this class approaches more complicated ballet combinations for barre and center work. It continues the importance of proper ballet technique, alignment, body placement, body awareness, musicality and phrasing, as well as continued emphases on performance quality. Increased flexibility, endurance and body strength are also stressed to allow for the development of higher elevations and leg extensions (levels 3-4).

This half day Musical Theatre Camp for 6–8-year-olds will feature all elements of musical theater including singing, acting, and dancing. Students are sure to have a blast as we highlight the joy of what it takes to put on a musical! This summer camp is paired with our Storytime Ballet, which is offered in the morning from 9-12pm, for a full day of FUN!

Set in a world of enchanted castles and magical friendships, each day offers a new opportunity to explore whimsical crafts, a love of dance, and creative adventures that celebrate courage, kindness, and fun.

This fun, fast-paced camp is designed for students who are curious about musical theatre but don’t have a lot of experience – yet! Throughout the week, we'll dig into scenes, songs, choreography, and character work – with a mix of vocal warm-ups, memorization tips, improv games, and more. It’s a supportive space to build skills, try new things, and gain confidence onstage – no prior experience required.

Deep in the enchanted forest, where music fills the air and everything sparkles with joy, lives a world of colorful, fun-loving forest creatures who LOVE to dance! Each day brings a new adventure with forest-inspired crafts, story time magic, and dance to prepare for a mini performance at the end of the week!

Ahoy, tiny dancers! Get ready to sail away on a magical adventure under the sea in our Mermaid & Pirate Storytime Camp! Each day, little campers will explore a treasure trove of activities, twirl like graceful mermaids, march like daring pirates, and get ready for a mini performance at the end of the week.

Designed for middle school aged dancers (12-14 years old), the Jr. Ballet Camp offers focused training in ballet technique, preparing students to advance with strength, precision, and artistry. This program bridges the gap between foundational training and pre-professional study, emphasizing technical development, musicality, and performance quality. Dancers will participate in daily ballet technique classes, pre-pointe/pointe, variations, and special classes in character, street dance, and musical theatre dance. The week culminates in an observation that parents are invited to attend.
