Our program is built on the curriculum developed by Marcia Dale Weary, Founder of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, which is renowned for producing dancers of the highest caliber. Apprentice Program dancers are required to meet the minimum technique class requirements for Competition Team including: Ballet Academy, Technique classes corresponding to the styles they are understudy for. 5 absence maximum per technique class.

All dancers participating in Tap dances are required to take at least one weekly tap technique class, a ballet technique class, and jazz/contemporary class.

This level is for dancers aged 12-14 and includes accelerated ballet technique training. Features Technique, Strength & Conditioning, performance rehearsals, and optional Pre Pointe classes.

For dancers aged 13 and above, this advanced level focuses on intensive ballet training and artistic development. Includes Technique, Strength & Conditioning, performance rehearsals, and optional Pointe classes.

Option to participate in Saturday Competition Team Drop-In classes for continued training.

For dancers aged 9-14, this level offers advanced ballet training with a focus on technique and artistry. Sessions include Technique, Strength & Conditioning, and performance rehearsals.

Recommended for ages 6-10, this level focuses on building a strong foundation in ballet technique. Classes include Technique, Strength & Conditioning, and rehearsals for annual performances.

Designed for dancers aged 8-12, this level continues to develop ballet technique and artistic expression. Includes Technique, Strength & Conditioning, and performance rehearsals.

This elite level, recommended for dancers aged 14 and above, offers accelerated ballet training. It includes Technique classes, Strength & Conditioning, performance rehearsals, and optional advanced Pointe classes.

Dancers will attend 1-2 days per group dance. Complete schedules will be sent after auditions!

All ages will meet 4:00-6:30 from Monday, August 4 through Thursday, August 7 for a week of classes including turns, jumps, tricks, and choreography in a variety of styles including jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, modern, and more! This intensive includes your AUDITION for the competition team, and is mandatory for all dancers interested in auditioning for the team.
