The Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance, located in Dublin, Ohio, is a distinguished institution with a rich history spanning over 35 years, dedicated to fostering a love and excellence in traditional Irish dance. Founded by Ann Richens ADCRG, who brought her passion from Dublin, Ireland, the academy evolved following the success of her student, World Champion John Timm. Now under the direction of John and Heather Timm, the academy has expanded its reach across central Ohio, central Indiana, and Wyoming. We offer a vibrant and athletic approach to Irish step dancing for students of all ages, from beginners as young as 3.5 years old through advanced competitors and adults. Our comprehensive curriculum runs from September through June, including specialized Pre-Beginner, Beginner, Advanced, and Adult Ceili Dancing programs. At Richens/Timm, we emphasize intricate footwork, artistic expression, and the cultivation of crucial life skills like dedication, determination, and teamwork. Our academy boasts a welcoming, family-friendly environment and is renowned for its exceptional success in the competitive arena, with countless Regional, North American, All-Ireland, and World Championship titles. Our highly qualified instructors, including John Timm (T.C.R.G., A.D.C.R.G.), Heather Timm (T.C.R.G., A.D.C.R.G.), Allanda O’Neill (T.C.R.G.), Liz Jones (T.C.R.G.), Andrea Timm Green (T.C.R.G.), Olivia O’Sullivan (T.C.R.G.), and Margaret Kaster (T.C.R.G.), are former champions and experienced performers themselves, committed to providing superior artistic training and nurturing the next generation of Irish dancers.
