About Irey Dance Academy

We are dedicated to nurturing the passion for dance in students of all ages, offering a vibrant and comprehensive dance education. Our diverse curriculum is designed to foster technique, rhythm, and creative expression, with classes typically encompassing a broad spectrum of genres. Students can explore their passion through Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Barre classes. For our youngest dancers, Tiny Tappers and Little Leapers classes introduce fundamental movement and classroom etiquette. As students progress, we provide specialized training, with Contemporary and Acrobatics requiring concurrent enrollment in Ballet or Jazz to ensure proper technique. Advanced dancers have the opportunity to join our prestigious Company program, a rigorous curriculum by invitation or audition only, which includes all academy classes, pointe work, partnering, choreography, and the chance to learn from guest choreographers. Our faculty of dedicated instructors, including Emilee Irey, Emily Crawford, Keeli Vicencio, Allison Edwards, Ellery McGuire, Ellie Smith, and Maci Payne, brings a wealth of experience from collegiate dance programs and professional performance. Irey Dance Academy is committed to offering high-quality dance education in a supportive and inspiring environment, building confidence and a lifelong love for dance within the Marion community.

Classes

Private Lessons

Summer private packages: 30 minute privates. Longer private classes are available upon request and instructor availability.

Summer Company Classes

If you are an intermediate to advanced dancer interested in joining the Irey Dance Company, please email us at ireydanceacademy@gmail.com.

Company

For our intermediate and advanced dancers we have a program called Company. Our Company dancers take a full curriculum of classes including all of the academy classes, pointe, partnering, contemporary, acting, choreography, and more. These dancers get the opportunity to work with guest choreographers, travel to take classes and perform, and participate in special events.

We also have an all boys class for elementary aged boys where we work on dance technique , rhythm, and strengthening exerci ses !

ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and acro

Starting in 1st grade (or 6 years old) students will enter our leveled classes. This year we are offering ballet, tap, jazz, con temporary*, and acro*. Class levels will be assigned at registration taking into account skill level and age of dancer.

Kindergarten Tap Class

Our kindergartener class es are so much fun and lay a great foundation for ballet, jazz, and tap. This year we are offering a Kindergarten Ballet and Jazz Basics Class and a Kindergarten Tap Class. Both classes are 30 minutes long.

Little Leapers

Our Tiny Tappers a nd Little Leapers classes are for our littlest dancers ages 3 and 4. These classes are 30 minutes long and give an introduction to dance , movement, counting, and classroom etiquette. Our Little Leapers will wear ballet shoes and work on creative movem ent.
