The focus of this 30-minute class includes learning acro positions, locomotive skills(jumping, hopping, etc), balancing skills, behavior skills, movement concepts, cooperation and social skills! Props are used to develop better coordination and balance.

Boyd Dance Studios Performing Arts Company classes are designed for dancers seeking more involvement in dance, it also offers more opportunities to perform throughout the year! BDS offers incredible opportunities to study with nationally recognized instructors and choreographers.

Tumbling combines classical dance techniques with precision acrobatic elements found in gymnastics. Our tumblers can be seen using anything from handstands, cartwheels, rolls and handsprings to power moves like aerials and flips!

Ballet II focuses on proper body alignment, intermediate to advanced level technique, and fluid movement through barre work, center floor work and combinations. Ballet III advanced classes focus on advanced techniques to move into Point work.

This class focuses on musicality and rhythm through hip hop, break dancing, popping and tricks. This class participates in our year-end recital!

This class is a freer, more expressive and grounded style of movement that uses proper technique to its advantage. This class lifts the restriction from Ballet and has its own technique within it.

This is a fun and popular class for dancers; boys or girls! It’s like drumming with your feet. Tap dancing is an energetic dance style where students learn rhythm, style and technique through percussive footwork.

Jazz dance incorporates stylized dance moves and dynamic steps such as jumps, turns, and kicks. Jazz is a very high-energy class that teaches students essential dance skills including body coordination, flexibility and self-expression.

This class focuses on proper body alignment, basic technique, and fluid movement through barre work, center floor work, and combinations. It participates in our year-end recital!

K-2nd grade. Presenting our Children's Musical Theater Class, Students explore the magical realm of musical theater, diving into storytelling, music, and movement in harmony.

ShowStars is an age-specific class. This class will spend portions of the time working on two or more different styles, giving the children a fantastic base and exposure to different types of dance and helps to keep the kids excited, interested, and focused for the entire 60 minute period.
