GGDC2 dancers take a minimum of 3 classes per week (2 ballet, 1 jazz or tap) in addition to rehearsals for upcoming performances.

GGDC and Apprentice dancers (age 12+) should have prior jazz or modern experience. The audition will consist of a ballet class, followed by jazz and/or modern combinations.

Auditions/Placement for the Gary Geis Boys Ensemble will consist of a modern/contemporary dance class. Previous dance experience is not required. Boys Ensemble members take one Saturday class per week.

Dancers attending the additional choreography workshop will work with Bethany Logan (GGDC Alumni and founder of Wild She Dances) on choreography, leadership skills, and how to create new dances.

A week-long dance intensive (10am-3pm Monday-Friday) with a new choreography workshop option (3pm-5pm Monday-Thursday) for dancers age 11+ who are at an Intermediate or Advanced level of ballet. Dancers do not need to be en pointe to participate, and non-pointe dancers will still greatly benefit from taking the pointe/pre pointe class in ballet slippers.
