Classes

Dance Team classes

Dance Team classes are a step up from our recreation classes. Dancers participating on Dance Teams must demonstrate a desire to work hard and demonstrate commitment. Attendance is essential as well as a positive team-first attitude. Dancers are expected to practice at home in preparation for performances and competitions. Dancers on our teams enjoy deep and lasting friendships along with the opportunity to perform multiple times throughout the year!

Acrobatics & Tumbling

These tumbling-based classes incorporate skills to include a dancer’s flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination. Dancers will learn and practice body work, floor skills, and tumbling skills. Students learn skills on mats and progress to performing skills on the dance floor. Each student will progress at their own pace. Tumbling is classroom based and will not perform in the year-end recital/production; however, each class will have an in-studio performance to showcase their skill achievements.

Progressions

This high-energy technique class focuses on developing strength, control, and precision in foundational skills such as kicks, leaps, turns, and across-the-floor combinations. Dancers will work on proper form, alignment, and execution while building the muscle memory and confidence needed to advance their performance quality and versatility. Ideal for dancers looking to sharpen their technique and elevate their stage presence.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop class improves groove, rhythm, and musicality as well as encourages self-confidence, personal style, and improvisation. These classes provide a fun work out for all ages! Please be assured that all music and dance moves are age appropriate.

Pom

Pom dance class is a lively and energetic form of dance that incorporates the use of pom-poms as props. Participants learn proper placement and delivery of pom-style choreography along with jumps and skills commonly included in this genre. This class is perfect for individuals looking to improve their coordination, rhythm, and performance skills while building physical fitness through dynamic movements and upbeat music. This class is ideal for dancers who are also interested in Cheerleading.

Contemporary

These classes lead the dancer to a more intricate level of technique improving upper body strength while working to develop more refined lines, body placement, and quality of movement. The genre enhances storytelling through movement, improvisation, and understanding expression through music. More intricate combinations are taught for improving skills and transitions.

Jazz

Jazz class teaches dancers to execute movements with correct technique, exciting performance quality, and are encouraged to develop their own unique style. As with all dance styles, dancers can expect to learn both the classical jazz steps of Broadway and the modernized combination of street-jazz, jazz-funk, and contemporary movements seen on TV!

Dance Team

Dance Team classes are a step up from our recreation classes. Dancers participating on Dance Teams must demonstrate a desire to work hard and have commitment. Attendance is essential as well as a positive team-first attitude. Dancers are expected to practice at home in preparation for performances and competitions. This high-energy and empowering class combines the athleticism of cheerleading with the performance flair of pom. Students will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while developing teamwork and coordination. Dancers will learn core cheerleading techniques, including chants, cheers, stunts, tumbling, dynamic jumps, and engaging pom combinations—all in a fun and supportive environment. Acrobatics and Tumbling or Pom are good classes to pair with Cheer.

Musical Theatre

This high energy class will focus on theatrical performance while promoting self-expression, performance quality, & proper technique. Dancers will learn to tell a story combining acting, music and theater jazz dance. Classes will consist of a basic warm up, improv techniques, becoming familiar with show tunes, dance combinations, progressions, and performance preparation. So, if you’re Broadway Bound this is a “must do” class!

Funk

Funk is the perfect fusion of several genres including jazz, hip hop, and pom. It includes many street dance styles with a focus on high energy and sharp movement. Dancers will learn and utilize skills from Technique and Jump and Acro while enjoying the flavor that is often found in hip hop and pom. Acrobatics and Tumbling is a great class to pair with Funk.

Our Step 3 and 4 classes are designed to challenge our middle-high school students through exciting technical skills, intricate choreography, and a welcoming classroom community! The Intermediate program offers multiple class genres, each with its own unique skills and style. Dancers increase their dance technique and overall coordination and focus in each class genre! Our Step 3 and 4 classes aid in promoting self regulation, exercise, self confidence, creativity, and mental well-being. Parents can expect their dancers to learn & perfect intermediate – advanced dance skills and terminology in each class genre. Our classes support our students’ progress utilizing challenging new skills and more intricate choreography. In all of our classes, students will increase their pick up skills and retention skills by refining their technical skills and expanding their dance vocabulary. The Step 3 and 4 classes bring high energy classes that excite our students with fun music, classroom community, team work, and memorable lessons on and off the dance floor!

Step 2 classes

Our Step 2 classes are designed to challenge our eight to fourteen year old students through exciting technical skills, fun choreography, and more advanced activities! We offer multiple class genres, each with its own unique skills and style. Dancers increase their dance technique and overall coordination and focus in each class genre! Our Step 2 classes aid in promoting self regulation, exercise, self confidence, creativity, and mental well-being. Parents can expect their dancers to learn & perfect beginner-intermediate dance skills and terminology in each class genre. Our Step 2 classes support developmentally appropriate challenges and skills with more difficult patterns and combinations of their dance skills. In all of our Step 2 classes, students will increase their pick up skills and retention skills by refining their technical skills and learning advanced choreography. Step 2 classes bring high energy classes that excite our students with fun music, classroom community and team building, and memorable lessons on and off the dance floor!

Step 1 classes

Our Step 1 classes are designed to challenge our younger and newer dancers ages 6 – 10 through exciting technical skills, fun choreography, and more advanced activities! We offer multiple class genres, each with its own unique skills and style. Dancers increase their dance technique and overall coordination and focus in each class genre! Our Step 1 classes aid in promoting self regulation, exercise, self confidence, creativity, and mental well-being. Parents can expect their dancers to learn & perfect beginner dance skills and terminology in each class genre. Our Step 1 classes support developmentally appropriate challenges and skills with more difficult patterns and combinations of their skills. The Step 1 classes excite our students with fun music, classroom community and team building, and memorable lessons on and off the dance floor!

Little Steps

Our Little Steps program is designed to bring the magic of movement to our young dancers! All of our preschool classes focus on building independence, confidence, and creativity. Dancers increase coordination and focus while learning through play, interaction, and fun! Our preschool program aids in school readiness helping our young students with listening skills, following directions, taking turns, and learning choreography.

First Steps

Our First Steps program is designed especially for our tiniest dancers! These 30 minute creative movement classes focus on building independence, confidence, and creativity. Dancers increase coordination and focus while learning through play, interaction, and fun! Our dance preview program aids in school readiness helping our young students with listening skills, following directions, and entering the classroom independently. Parents can expect their tiny dancers to learn ballet basics like first position, plié, and passe. Additionally, students will increase their gross motor skills while practicing coordination skills such as skipping, hopping, galloping, leaping, and balancing. During early childhood, it is important for children to develop skills such as muscle strength, balance, core strength, endurance and coordination. Our classes support developmentally appropriate challenges and skills.

Step 4

Designed for the most experienced dancers, this class pushes the boundaries of technique, performance, and artistry.

Step 3

This advanced class challenges dancers with more complex choreography, technique refinement, and artistic expression.
