In addition to our professional program, we host free community ballet classes, outreach performances, and adult ballet classes throughout the year.

Conditioning is offered at certain levels, and students may pursue other styles outside the academy as long as it does not interfere with their VAB training.

Formal ballet training in the graded Vaganova program typically begins around ages 6–8. Exams give students clear goals, measurable progress, and valuable experience performing under evaluation.

Ballet is a world-renowned system of classical ballet training developed in Russia. It emphasizes clean technique, artistry, musicality, and strength, preparing dancers for both professional careers and lifelong appreciation of ballet.

Open Ballet classes are open to beginners of all ages and abilities. Open Ballet classes are community classes open to all levels. Students who are unable to commit fully to the program are encouraged to attend OPEN classes at VAB.

Adult Ballet classes are open to beginners of all ages and abilities. We also offer Adult Ballet for dancers returning to training or starting later in life. Adult Ballet classes are community classes open to all levels.

Pre-Ballet introduces children ages 4–7 to musicality, movement, and discipline. Pre-Ballet begins as early as age 4. Dancers in Pre-Ballet through Advanced levels participate in annual exams based on the Vaganova method.
