Join our award-winning dance competition team at Saucon Valley Dance Conservatory! We are seeking dedicated dancers to join our team and represent our studio at prestigious dance competitions. Our team is known for their high level of technical excellence, creativity, and passion for dance.

Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance, & contortion tricks. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.

Our Hip Hop program combines classic and current styles of Jazz with also the latest street styles of Hip Hop, including pop and funk. Enphasis is on technique, center and placement and dancers are encouraged to push themselves to explore new movements and to understand the elements of choreography, music and performance. Hip Hop helps to develop coordination and rhythm for any level dancer.

Lyrical is a very expressive and poignant genre of dance. In class we work on stretching, aligning, strengthiening and conditioning your body. Included in the warm-up excersises are the development of basic dance technique. It also introduces specific jazz movements that will later be incorporated into dance combinations. The culmination of the lesson is the learning and performing of a dance combination. This utilizes all the elements of dance and testing the dancers technique, coordination and memory.

Ballet is most widely identified for breathtaking techniqes, fluid pointe work, pas de deux, and incredible flexibility. Body alignment, position of the head, proper turnout and pushing through the floor are all used to develop and enhance ballet technique. The classes become incresingly complex as students advance through systematic developement. As their training progresses emphasis is placed on developing strength, stability and grace. Pointe work is an extension of serious ballet training and all students will be evaluated and placed at the discretion of the instructor.

Let your child be the star in our Combination Star class! We offer forty five min classes that give the children a fantastic base and exposure to different styles of dance. We have found that this “combination” technique helps to keep the kids excited, interested, and focused for the entire time. Depending on the age, we offer : Contemporary/ Lyrical

Our program is specially designed to provide children between the ages of three and five years of age with a strong foundation in dance and movement. It teaches the young dancer the basic elements of movement and dance; space, musical rhythm, beat and time, opposites and directions, locomotor movements, and elementary dance steps. Integrated with these physical concepts are the intellectual concepts of self-awareness, creative expression, imagination, teamwork and basic body/health awareness. Through participation in these classes, students also learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners, which remain the same throughout their dancing years These concepts include learning how to take turns, following or leading, waiting patiently, working together with others and having a positive attitude, along with songs, games and movement, dancers will thrive in a fun, playful and engaging environment.

Our programs will awaken your child's imagination, creativity and confidence in our amazing Twinkle Baby dance classes for children 1-3 years old. Concepts taught include basic elements of movement and dance, space, musical rhythm, beat/time, opposites/directions, loco-motor movements, creative expression and imagination. Students also learn the basics of classroom behavior, including taking turns, waiting in line, following/leading, working together and having a positive attitude.
