Adult Pointe

For beginner or intermediate adult dancers en pointe.

Friday evenings
Adult Modern Dance

For adult dancers of any level, this class will introduce you to elements of modern dance, including grounded movements, head/tail connection, core strengthening, basic floor work, and traveling steps.

Wednesday evenings
Intermediate Adult Ballet

For adult dancers who have some ballet experience and are ready for more of a challenge. This class will build on the fundamentals of classical ballet at the barre and in center work and grow your confidence as a dancer.

Friday evenings
Beginning Adult Ballet

No experience required. For anyone 17+, this class is a great introduction to the art and athleticism of ballet.

Wednesday evenings
Teen Jazz

This class will blend jazz, contemporary and hip hop styles to help teens build confidence in their dance abilities and experience.

Beginning Ballet

Young dancers learn the structure, disciplines, and delights of a traditional ballet class. Appropriate for most children ages 7-9, no prior experience is required. The ability to focus and listen to the teacher is important. A short modern class is offered but optional at this level.

Pre-Ballet

Our little dancers learn all about stretching and ballet in this delightful introduction to the joy of dance. Appropriate for most children ages 5-6, no prior experience is required. The ability to listen to the teacher is important.

This fun class will introduce children to the magic of dance class. Appropriate for most children ages 3-5, no prior experience is required. The ability to listen to the teacher is important.

This class is recommended for dancers en pointe in Level D. We recommend taking as many classes at your level as possible for optimal training and development.

The focus on positive guidance and detailed corrections from the teachers in every class at SDC is something that helped improve my technique drastically. During my time at SDC, the teachers went in depth on educating their students in proper techniques in modern and ballet. The knowledge I’ve gained from these classes has prepared me very well for college level classes.

Advanced Adult Ballet

For adult dancers who have solid ballet experience and are comfortable with the flow of a typical ballet class. This is our most challenging adult ballet class.

Monday evenings
Teen Ballet (Level A)

No experience required, but dancers must be focused and take instruction well. Comparable to our pre-professional Level A ballet, this class is specifically geared for dancers ages 12-15.

Monday evenings
Beginner (Level A)

This is our first Pre-Professional level. We offer Level A for children ages 8-12. No experience necessary, but dancers should be focused and eager to learn. Dancers in Level A will have Ballet and Modern technique class once per week.
