About All Star Dance Center

All Star Dance Center, located in Springfield, Pennsylvania, was founded in September 2007 by Miss Patty, blossoming into a vibrant hub for dancers of all ages. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and nurturing environment that fosters technique, discipline, and a lifelong love for movement. We offer a wide range of genuine dance styles, including Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, and Barre. Our curriculum also features specialized combo classes for young children introducing them to ballet and tap fundamentals, alongside Acrobatics classes focusing on strength and flexibility. Under the guidance of experienced and talented instructors such as Patty Padula, Jessica Fox Dickinson, Katie Webb, Brianna Fox, Rosa Mykyta-Chomsky, Mandy Lee, Paula Kearney, and Sarah Harlan, students receive quality instruction. Many of our faculty boast extensive performance and teaching backgrounds, having studied under renowned instructors and participated in prestigious workshops. We emphasize positivity, fun, and learning, aiming to build self-esteem, confidence, and enrich young lives through creativity and discipline. All Star Dance Center is proud of its competitive teams, which have achieved numerous accolades, including first-place trophies and high platinum awards at national competitions. dance class

Classes begin September 8th. Stop in the studio during our Open House Registrations, see the studios, meet the staff and register for an exciting dance class.

red hot dance fitness

Red Hot Dance Fitness is a dance-based fitness class for anyone that loves music and movement. This class combines the hottest music with even better moves. Beginners build confidence with easy to follow dance moves set to your favorite songs, while more difficult choreography is layered in so the advanced can be challenged. DANCE, SWEAT, BURN CALORIES .....all while feeling like Beyonce's backup dancer. An invigorating, exhilarating, liberating and calorie burning dance party that will have you addicted from the first beat!

ADULT

Classes will be offered based on interest in ballet, tap, and/or jazz.

ACRO

Classes focus on core control with fluid movements and tricks such as cartwheels, aerials, handsprings, backbends and splits. It is a physically demanding style that requires you to build great strength, control and flexibility. Recommended for dancers ages 3 and up.

modern

Classes focus on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing. Modern dancers use dancing to express their innermost emotions, often to get closer to their inner-selves. The choreographer chooses music that relates to the story they wish to tell, a costume to reflect their chosen emotions and is usually done in bare feet. Recommended for dancers ages 9 and up

This class consists of ballet fundamentals, creative movement, song & dance.

Children’s combo 2

Similar to Children's Combo 1, dancers will continue learning age-appropriate ballet and tap steps, patterns, terminology, and musicality. With the additional time, dancers will begin working on barre techniques and abilities as well as learning progressions across the floor. Recommended for dancers ages 7 and up.

Children’s combo 1

Classes consist of age-appropriate ballet and tap steps, patterns, terminology, and musicality. Floor exercises and center work are taught for proper placement and stretching with an emphasis on ballet positions and exercises with the use of head and arms. Recommended for dancers ages 5 and up.

pre-k combo

Classes consist of an introduction to ballet, while incorporating basic tap steps to teach the children rhythm and the ability to recognize simple musical patterns. It is designed to teach the pre-schooler basic dance steps and proper terminology, while developing the students' large motor skills, musical awareness, and appreciation for dance, through age-appropriate creative movement. Recommended for dancers ages 3-5 years old.

hip hop

A high-energy class that uses the latest sounds in rap, R&B and pop music together with movements influenced by some of today’s hottest video choreographers. Hip hop encompasses movement that has elements of poppin', locking, and breaking as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. While no previous training is required, classes will use basic body isolations found in other technique classes ( a ballet or jazz class is strongly recommended ). Recommended for dancers ages 6 and up.

jazz

Popular music is used for instruction with a main emphasis on jazz technique through stretching, coordination exercises and age-appropriate jazz combinations. Ballet training is not necessary but strongly recommended. Recommended for dancers ages 7 and up.

tap

Progression of various levels or rhythm tap experience from basic beginner tap to advanced tap technique. Recommended for dancers ages 8 and up.

pointe

Classical ballet training taught on pointe. Supplemental ballet class is required. Recommended for dancers ages 11 and up.

Lyrical

Ballet-based dance with an emphasis on fluidity, strength, and emotions in which the classical ballet dancer can incorporate, ballet, modern, and jazz technique focusing on interpretation and musicality. Recommended for dancers with ballet background.

BALLET

Classical training emphasizing proper technique, body positions, and terminology through barre work, center work, and progressions across the floor. Recommended for dancers ages 8 and up.
