Classes

Musical Theatre Dance

A fun class using movie themes and Broadway Shows to explore creativity and entertainment as dancers embody a character. Jazz Dance is the basis for this style of Dance.

Acrobatic Dance

Acrobatic Dance (or Acro Dance) is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Acro is an especially challenging style for dances to master as training in both dance and acrobatic elements are required. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling with emphasis on flexibility and strength.

Tap is an intricate form of dance with the feet as well as the body. Tap enhances rhythmic dynamics, speed & agility. Traditional & Contemporary tap styles are taught, with a focus on total body movement, technical correctness & performance quality.

Ballet I, II & III

Ballet I & II (ages 6-8 and 7-10 based on training). Ballet III (ages 11 and up). Students begin more formal Classical Ballet Training where discipline, musicality, and technique are emphasized. Each level is based on the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Teaching Curriculum. Each class includes Barre work, Center Work, Across the Floor and elements of Choreography to Perform at Our Annual Spring & Holiday Shows.

Beginning Ballet

Beginning Ballet class is designed for 4-5 year olds. Beginning Classical Ballet exercises are taught in a fun and age related way. Props are incorporated for engagement of the young dancer’s mind and focus is given to building motor skills, eye-hand coordination and flexibility.

Pre-Ballet & Creative Movement

Pre-Ballet & Creative Movement class designed for ages 3-4 years old. Dancers enjoy a fun class of movement activity, dance games, and learning about following directions, interaction with other dancers, experiencing props.

Tap/Ballet and Tap/Jazz Classes

Tap/Ballet and Tap/Jazz Classes for ages 3 & up.
