Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre (CYBT), established in 2006 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is a premier nonprofit performing company committed to transforming rigorous dance training into captivating stage artistry. Rooted in elite conservatory training, CYBT prepares young dancers for professional careers or equips them with invaluable life skills. Under the artistic direction of Liza Mata, a highly certified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) instructor with international experience, and Co-Artistic Director Karen Mata, a seasoned dancer with extensive performance background, the studio offers comprehensive dance education. Their curriculum emphasizes classical ballet, with students participating in RAD examinations and prestigious competitions like the Youth America Grand Prix. Beyond ballet, CYBT offers diverse training in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, modern, hip hop, and tap.
