Classes

TAP

Dancers gain knowledge of the fun and rhythmic style of tap dance. This class teaches rhythms, weight changes and reinforce counting.

COMPETITION TEAM

Elevate Dance Academy offers competition team options for ages 6-18. The team will participate in local and/or traveling dance competitions and conventions. Dance style options for competition groups could include jazz, lyrical, hip hop, musical theater or tap.

MUSICAL THEATRE

A class combining acting and dance skills. While incorporating ballet, tap and jazz, dancers will learn about the world of Broadway musicals.

LYRICAL

This dance style combines elements of ballet and jazz in an expressive form to music.

JAZZ

A fun dance style that includes foundational and modern day techniques of musicality, strength, leaps, turns and bold movement.

BALLET

Ballet is the foundation of dance. Dancers will learn proper alignment, safe stretching and build strength while learning ballet terminology.

HIP HOP

Explore the energetic world of hip hop dance. This class will introduce dancers to the fundamental styles of hip hop dance history. Dancers will expand their creativity of their own unique style.

BREAKING (BREAK DANCE)

Known for its history in street dance, Breaking focuses on standard moves such as freezes, powermoves, downrock, and toprock. This class focuses on freestyling skills, and the historic form of street dance battles.

ACRO DANCE

Acro dance focuses on tumbling, limbering, stretching, strengthening and balancing skills. Each level will learn safe techniques of progressions in handstands, bridges, cartwheels and beyond.

4-5 Year Old Jazz/Hip Hop Combo

Dancers will be introduced to the fun and energetic styles of jazz and hip hop. They will explore engaging ways to learn about music and movement along with expressing their creativity.

Creative Movement

Creative movement introduces dancers to the world of dance. Through music, using props, play, games and imagination, dancers will express their creativity, gain knowledge of rhythm and music as well as exploring movement.

4-5 Year Old Ballet/Tap Combo

Dancers will be introduced to the classic style of ballet and the rhythmic world of tap. They will explore engaging ways to learn about the fundamentals of these dance styles, along with expressing their creativity.

Parent & Me

Parent and Me is a fun way to bond with your 2 year old through movement and music. Dancers will enjoy learning basic rhythms, play, and dancing with their caregiver.
