Dance

Bishop began dancing at Philadelphia Dance Theatre and continued his training at several summer programs, including Walnut Hill School of the Arts, Ballet Hispanico, Hubbard Street, and BalletX. He attended NYU Tisch Dance, where he performed numerous student-choreographed works.

Ballet

Mary Kate Shearer is from Ridgeland, Mississippi. She trained from age three with Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet under the direction of Jennifer Beasley. Mary Kate attended numerous summer intensive programs, including Atlanta Ballet, Boston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and the School of the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.

Lucy Sheppard is from Columbus, Georgia. She studied under Alice Sheridan in Macon, Georgia and virtually with Francis Veyette and Lauren Fadeley. She spent additional time training with Lindsi Dec and Karel Cruz before becoming a trainee at Next Generation Ballet.

Tap, Gymnastics, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Graham, Horton

Pierceton was first introduced to tap and gymnastics classes at the Tapio School of Dance and Gymnastics. Pierceton continued his training in commercial dance techniques including jazz, tap and contemporary, competing in multiple national competitions such as The Dance Awards. Pierceton was later introduced to concert dance techniques such as ballet and various American Modern techniques including Graham and Horton.

Keira grew up in Waxhaw, North Carolina. She trained at Charlotte City Ballet Company under the direction of Melissa Hale-Coyle and Lisa Leone. Keira spent her last two years of high school studying ballet at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and worked with Eva Draw, Jennet Zerbe, and Jared Redick.

Anna Anderson is originally from northern Vermont, and began her training at age 10 at the Ballet School of Vermont. At 15, she started with American Ballet Theatre’s JKO school in NYC, and trained there for 3 years.

Alessandra Ferrari-Wong has also premiered many new works with the company including My'Kal Stromile's Three Theories in Choreographic Discourse, Autumn Eckman's Wax Wane, and Dwight Rhoden's Grace Studies.

Eli Diersing has also taught ballet to a variety of ages at several schools including Indiana University Ballet Theater’s Pre-College department and Indianapolis School of Ballet. He is very excited to be joining Chattanooga Ballet and is thankful to his teachers and family for supporting him!

Chattanooga Ballet is seeking to hire female and male artists for a 40-week contract. Artists auditioning are required to have strong ballet technique and be comfortable with pointe, contemporary and modern movement, and may be asked to demonstrate an understanding of pas de deux work.
