Ginny Mount School of Dance

Hip Hop for 5 & 6 year olds is an hour lesson once a week and the fee is $80.00 per month. Hip Hop for those aged 8+ is an hour lesson once a week. The fee is $80.00 per month for the weekly lesson.

This is also a combination class consisting of Tap, Ballet, & Jazz. During the hour long class we do tap and alternate ballet and jazz on a weekly basis. The fee for this class is $80.00 per month.

Ages 2.5-4 years. This is a combination class which involves basically tap and ballet. We do some tumbling & some jazz on occasion. The fee is $75.00 per month for a 45 minute lesson once a week.

We have several levels of competition teams. These teams require additional classes and dedication from both students and parents. Evaluation by the team teachers is required for consideration to be eligible for team membership.

An upbeat fun dance set to clean music is another form of movement called hip-hop. Students will learn the newest dance moves to a fast paced age appropriate selection of music.

Offered as a concentration class in the principles of ballet. This class is available for beginners to advanced students.

Jazz is the American contribution to dance style & is free form technique set to modern jazz rhythms & Broadway show tunes as well as today’s music. Emphasis in each class is placed on floor stretches, isolations, jazz walks, & choreographic jazz styles and combinations.

Beginning Ballet comprises correct placement for the body, feet, head, and arms & the study of the five basic positions and all the elementary movements stemming from them. Intermediate classes gradually learn more complex steps including turns, leaps, jumps, & beats. The exercises are performed in more rapid tempo and dace sequences are introduced as well as some classical variations.

Tap teaches a sense of rhythm, timing, phrasing, coordination, & develops an alert & quick thinking mind. Classes include floor techniques, combinations & graded dances set to the music of yesterday, today & tomorrow. Children, Young Adults, & Senior Citizens are discovering untold hours of fun and pleasure in tap dancing.
