What to expect for a preschool class!

Our upcoming 2025 - 2026 dance season is now open! If your student has three or more years of dance experience, please email [email protected] for more class options! Please plan to visit us at our Open House on July 24th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. This will be a great opportunity to tour the facility, meet your instructors, register, and be sized for dancewear!

Students as young as 4 years old are invited to take private lessons from a male or female instructor of their choice. Each student will have an opportunity to perform a solo piece at our Christmas and spring recital. Private lessons occur weekly.

Every ballerina's dream! As students are nearing their Grade 1 examination. or once they have passed their exam, ballerinas have the option to enroll in a pre-pointe class. The pre-pointe class is a year of technique focusing specifically on building the body to perform on pointe.

A more mature sense of musicality and quality of movement is emphasized in the third and fourth levels. Students develop strength and stability in the demonstration of the pirouettes and grand allegro. Suppleness and smooth graceful movements are developed in these levels along with the coordination of head, arms, legs, and body.

For students on a more serious track, the two lower student grades will develop proper placement of torso, hips, and legs without exceeding anatomical limitations. The coordination of arms and head are developed with a concentration on smooth transitions throughout the exercises.

The CCA offers three pre-syllabus examinations for younger children, ages 5 – 9, that will develop poise and musicality in a fun and creative environment. The Primary One, Two, and Three syllabus instills the love of dance and allows for creative expression.

The Cecchetti curriculum sets itself apart by taking care of a dancers body and following the "laws of anatomy." Cecchetti dancers develop " balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, “ballon”, etc. It is classic in its purity and clear-cut style."

CenterStage offers classes in Lyra. We have several class offerings for current dancers and students new to dance, aerial silks, and CenterStage!

CenterStage offers classes in aerial silks, both hammock and long silks. This class is comprised of aerial fitness to strengthen the arms and core, aerial yoga using the fabrics to aide in stretching and flexibility, and choreography.

Learn the delicate intricacies of classical ballet at CenterStage. We proudly implement the Cecchetti Curriculum in all of our ballet classes.

Students ages 3-7 (must be potty trained) will be introduced to the basics of both ballet and tap dance over the course of the school year. Enter into an encouraging environment where students not only explore new movement, but also new ideas like team work, independence, and respect for others. Simple tumbling skills will also be used in class to further develop motor skills and balance. Students in these classes will celebrate their growth in our June dance recital.

Dance with us in a fun, high-energy class made for little ones who love up-beat music and are excited to show off their skills. This 45-minute class will steer little ones into moving as a group, and includes an annual performance in June!

The curriculum includes the teaching techniques in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, gymnastics, lyrical, musical theatre, children’s work, and modern. Specialty classes in folk dance, ballroom, and interpretive dance supplement the core disciplines, along with courses in music theory, dance notation, nutrition, alignment, dance history, kinesiology, choreography, studio business, costume design, and lighting.

CenterStage offers the opportunity for young students (ages 2 and 3) to take dance in 6 week sessions! This is a great way to see if students are ready to complete a full year of dance in our 2026 - 2027 season. We offer summer, fall, and winter sessions. Enrollment for our winter session opens December 1st!

Our 2026 Winter dance season is now open! If your student has three or more years of dance experience, please email [email protected] for more class options! Please plan to visit us at our Open House on Tuesday, January 6th from 5:00 - 7:00pm. This will be a great opportunity to tour the facility, meet your instructors, register, and be sized for dance wear! Please visit our Dance Tuition page for more information regarding tuition and other additional costs. Costume balances for all Winter classes will be due February 1st, 2026.

Students ages 2-3 will explore movement with us through music, story-telling, games, and more! At the end of our 6-weeks together, parents are invited to join us for a fun “show and tell” presentation to see what we have been learning about!

Our summer musical is open to students 7 years and up with no formal auditioning required. Students interested in an opportunity for a lead or speaking role must audition. The summer musicals are mounted in two weeks (June 2026) and rehearsed between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. Attendance every day is a requirement.
